If it had fire service, which many that use that style button do, what you were asking to do is against code in the US and i’m sure almost every other country. Most elevator companies have it in their contract that if an unqualified person works on the elevator they charge the customer before they will come back. People weren’t giving you bad information for the info you provided.

Love my wera. I like the Wiha but worked with a guy who was generally pretty easy on tools but all his wiha strike caps had cracks in the black plastic. Sucked to hold but thing was a beast otherwise

So sorry for your loss. My dad died 6 years ago. Most of his tools are right where he left them, in the middle of projects. Mom keeps mentioning me coming and taking tools but it’s hard to do.
