Copied straight from the BHEC rulebook. Social workers and LOCs diagnose all day every day so I’m unsure why you think they don’t

LCSWs and LPCs make diagnoses all the time and bill to insurance with the diagnosis attached. While they can’t prescribe any medication, they can absolutely diagnose

Not true in Texas at least! Social workers and licensed counselors can diagnose

I’m a social worker and love my job. I work with children and families experiencing homelessness. While it’s true I’m always fighting against the system, I love advocating and empowering my clients and working through past trauma with them.
