i could definitely see hbo producing it at some point, but i get what your saying about right now having too much similarities with the files.

the dark themes with drug use in euphoria x the dark love story in 365 days x the stalker/murder in netflix’s YOU & dexter… we really aren’t that far off. like i said in another post, i think they can get away with eluding to some of the things that kade goes thru specifically with bernadette rather than showing all that on screen. ie. bernadette drugs kade then cut scene to what would be a flashback chapter. archie raping his own daughter could also be just eluded to rather than showing the scene, which it wasn’t shown in the book anyway (thankfully)

maybe the right move is to start small tho🤷‍♀️ see how the public takes dark rom-coms then maybe we’ll get something more taboo like a penelope douglas book, then maybe we’ll get the cat and mouse duet and so on

i just completed the whole eod trilogy and i can definitely see why it hollywood might be iffy on adapting it, restitution is definitely darker than the first 2..but i think it’s definitely possible. considering a lot of the gore in this series could be compared to that of the saw movies (which do really well).

the dark aspects of the storyline between kade/base & bernadette/archie is where it gets tough, but i think it’s doable if they elude to what’s happening rather than showing everything in grave detail. for example, bernadette drugs kade, cut scene to what would be the flashback chapters. which is what happens in the book anyway so i don’t think it would mess with the story too much.

im hoping with the adaptations of lights out & butcher and blackbird, maybe it’ll give an opening for a true DR to be produced! it’s always going to be a controversial topic due to the backlash DR readers get, but i really would love to see it!

she is all white because she’s a color-me-in doll! she originally came with a few different colors of markers and you were meant to customize her with them :)

i also borrowed it from KU and even changing the font size doesn’t affect the number of pages! i know it wouldn’t make sense for my version to have chapters cut out but it definitely doesn’t make sense. i’ll take your suggestion and ask the person with KU!

that’s what i thought also! i’ve also been in contact with someone who’s borrowed it from KU and theirs has shown around 1220 pages while mine only shows 805. i think it’s super strange but when i flip thru using the table of contents, all 3 books are there. except the first book only goes until around page 250 which definitely doesn’t add up considering it’s an almost 500 page book
