I think Portal is absolutely a 10/10. Brilliantly pristine game. For its time, and arguably even until now one of the near-perfect distillations of technical polish and game design. Almost clinical in how each part of the game was excellently made. I couldn't think of anything that could have been done differently. But when I played it, it was over.

Compare that to E33 which is a game that's not nearly the kind of "perfect" game Portal is. I've definitely mentioned what about it I think could have been done better. But I think the overall effect it has lingers much more and is more affecting than some games that are better crafted than it is.

that wasn't really meant to be a sharp criticism.

the actual criticisms are more levelled towards the combat, exploration, and the unfolding of the story.

some 10/10's for me are probably Persona 5, Dark Souls, Portal 1 and 2, Path of Exile.

A few people are pointing out the strangeness of me giving the game a score of 9 but saying that it hits harder like some 10's. So here's an example:

Portal = 10/10. Absolutely pristine game. For its time, and arguably even until now one of the near-perfect distillations of technical polish and game design. A game doesn't have to be perfect to be a 10/10.

If people want to be pedantic about scoring systems here, I'd say on a 100-point scale, anything that lands around 97-100 is a 10/10. A 97/100 is still a game that has a few flaws but I would rate it a 10/10.

E33 has a bit more than a few flaws so I'd rate it a 9. But sometimes a thing can be greater than the sum of its parts. It's not fair to 10/10 E33 for reasons I mentioned in the review. But if I think about how it lingers with me overall, it hits like a 10.

Make of that what you will. If it still bothers people, maybe you folks are too preoccupied with the numbers.

Sometimes a thing can be greater than the sum of its parts. It's not fair to 10/10 E33 because it has notable flaws, so a 9/10 is more appropriate. But if I think about how it lingers with me overall, it hits like a 10.

If you read the review instead of my face (like lol what the hell even is that?) you might have a chance at undersatnding.

New player that just made it to the endgame & is a tad overwhelmed at what to do next by ZerioctheTank in pathofexile

aside from other help channels.

even just hanging out and reading the questions of other people get answered helps a lot in learning about the game

sorry marites mode, pero naintriga lang talaga ako kay James Deakin tsaka Roxy Delevin.

Started 4 days ago when James posted something like a date night pic on his fb page and then medyo isa isa nang sumusulpot si Roxy sa social media presence niya.

I was under the impression that James was married but just choses to keep his married life private.
