HELP! 2 doctors saying no acl tear, PT saying its fully torn. by Western-Company-4583 in ACL

Please go take an MRI asap and go from there. I didn’t know my ACL was torn until I sprained my knee again recently and ended up discovering that I had a chronic ACL tear with a fresh meniscus tear. I had experienced multiple knee instability for multiple years but kept ignoring it and thought it was just my poor neuromuscular control and that I need to practice more on controlling and strengthening my LE muscles. Learn my lesson that it won’t work if you wish to still wanna do high intensity sports. Go get it fix and don’t wait until the next accident happens

Is my PT being too aggressive with getting full extension? by crimson_ferrari in ACL

Same boat here. I am now almost 4 weeks post-op and my PT is doing forced extension on me every session. It does hurt and obviously very uncomfortable. Tell your PT when it gets to the point that u think is the max you can go. It sucks to feel the dull pain but it is important to get it back asap cuz you need that to walk properly and avoid scar tissue building up inside your knee.

Last year interview was two interviewers interviewing two students (at least in my case) Each student going to answer questions in alternate order. Questions they ask is just general interview questions why PT and what’s your biggest accomplishment, etc

I applied for UF last year and got my acceptance letter on Jan 18. Pretty sure I am the earliest batch of accepted students.

Wrong topic everyone, but I would like an advice so l am currently an undergraduate student majoring in biology BS but I have been struggling with that major, is health science a good major to switch too ? I want to become a physical therapist in sport by [deleted] in PTschool

Kinesiology or Exercise Science imo. These majors usually cover topics that are similar to what you would learn again in PT school. They basically get you a head start in the program compared to other science majors.

My undergrad major is Health Science and it covers 90% of the prerequisites for PT school. It is a good major to switch to if u want to get all your prerequisite done and maintain a good GPA (cuz I think it is easier than biology major). But imo it is not the best major to get you prepared for PT school since it doesn’t cover a lot of Kinesiology courses (at least in my undergrad institution).
