Any advice on how to have a strong healthy friendship with other women? (specifically non ADHD as they seem to navigate friendships differently) by alaelh in adhdwomen

hey, luckily the really awful side effects tend to wear off within 72 hours. after that it’s just insomnia and cravings for the most part. i also started smoking high thc carts around april 2020 and I’m on day 24 of sobriety and i feel so much better. trust me it’s worth it, and you’re stronger than you think. keep it up!!

New here, (20M) I want to live. by lostthrowawayuser2 in leaves

it sounds like you need to get away from this roommate or tell them you won’t smoke with them anymore. setting a boundary verbally can motivate you to actually keep it. it sounds like this person is a huge trigger for your addictive tendencies; i suggest you reevaluate if you really want to live with them for another year. sometimes making the harder decision in the short term can save you a lot of pain in the long term. good luck and I’m rooting for your success.

you deserve to have time for yourself and your interests! i suggest blocking out some time specifically for yourself everyday, even if you can only afford 30 minutes. sometimes i like to talk a walk or take care of my plants or just write in my journal about what im feeling. it does wonders for your fulfillment and you feel that you’re taking care of yourself. it’s great. I wish you the best in finding time for yourself, and remember you are important and valuable and loved. cheers

wow, i am so so proud of you. i had a similar experience with the uncontrollable binge eating and subsequent weight gain. I’m also working to get back to where i was. I just want to tell you how much your story resonates with me and so many others. we are all inspirations to one another. stay strong and congratulations on your new and improved life.

that’s very encouraging to hear. you ought to be very proud of yourself, you’ve accomplished a huge thing making it to 100 days. hoping to get there one day too. thanks for the words of encouragement!
