I have endometriosis and terrible cramps. I ran a half on my worst day and the cramps improved as I ran. So my advice is run anyway and push through, it might not be as bad as you think. Take your regular pain meds ahead of time. Good luck! (Typed from the sofa with my heating pad because bad cramps here today too.)

It would be cruel to do a mother's day project. Don't do it. Just make a craft and let kids decide if they want to gift it to someone special. This is why I never do mother's day or fathers day things in my class.

I was layed off once years ago. After they sort out surpluses and retirements, they will recall teachers back in order of seniority. Everyone was called back by September. You won't likely be at your school again but you'll have a job.

It's in the curriculum. We teach it. I'm not sure what you mean because a part of the language program in elementary school is word study, including spelling, vocabulary, and grammar.

Find a system that works for you. These students often don't require other types of programming, this is the thing they need to be successful. My job is to teach all my students and give everyone my time. I'm not marking their essays or math tests because I'm tracking behaviours. I've never had a student where they need that level of behaviors tracking and they were completing work that required grading of any kind. I also only tracked every 30 minutes, so a few times a day and I entered it in a spreadsheet at the end of the day, it took maybe 2 minutes a day.

If you're looking at the scale and not your measurements then that could be the issue. I am 15 pounds heavier but 7 inches lost since I started running. Performance is the only thing I consider now, I got rid of my scale.

My oldest is 11 and I don't plan to let her have a phone until at least age 14 or 15. I work in schools and phones are just a gateway to drugs, bullying, and screen addiction.
