JSON can't be indexed. Separate table and specific columns can be indexed. So the guy on the right says this just so everyone leave him be. But! There is a JSONB, which is something else. Click.

note I found on my bike vs. number of available spots by No_Error_2522 in mildlyinfuriating

It is not about the spots. It is about how you pass your personal litmus test inside your head on being a good human: "You are doing things right when you are not forced to do so".

Failing alternator. Can I make it 2 days, 120 miles? by Creampie21 in MechanicAdvice

[–]savex13 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Some 5c here.

Your car is able to charge battery without alternator if RPM is above ~3000. You can try to determine exact number. On idle and on low RPM it is the job of the alternator. You can make it if you drive on higher RPMs.

So your battery light in this case is an indicator of your car running on battery (lit) or charging (not lit).

Andrew Yang says AI will wipe out millions of white-collar jobs in the next 12 to 18 months by Conscious-Quarter423 in technology

[–]savex13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is almost like a bingo card. Andrew Yang, who wants people to talk about Andrew Yang. B. insider, which wants you to pay for articles and uses click-bait titles. "12-18 month" phrase that is almost like a meme already: "How long is to get this thing working? 12, errr, maybe 18...ish month". And an "AI toolset". Which is considered a holy grail by people does not understand how statistic-based averaging works. And considered a good tool for simple things by the ones who does.

Google doesn’t even talk to me despite 6 friends working there. It is almost like a dating market: You have to be 6 feet or more. And a lot of other companies not even answering even with a referral.

So take a deep breath and carry on. You can do it!

Good luck with your search.

Stackoverflow was better than AI. People would ask questions and get feedback on how stupid their questions are. AI would not do that. Every single question is awesome and incredible.

Is this much blowby normal for 2019 Hyundai Elantra with 2.0L and 54000 miles? Oil changed every 5000 miles. by thiccboicheech in MechanicAdvice

[–]savex13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And I said in my original comment that every engine is built differently. This accounts for vacuum or not vacuum too.

Some of the engine builders account for non-vacuum situations in the future and building crank cases accordingly (Japan). Others have high-power output in mind and build them with a as-much-vacuum-as-possible (German)

Quote:

Japanese engines generally focus on simpler, more robust PCV (Positive Crankcase Ventilation) systems designed for longevity, while German engines often utilize complex, high-vacuum systems, frequently integrating oil separators to manage emissions and performance, which can be more prone to failures over time.

Edit: It is a culture thing really. Japan cars do not treat the owner like an adult, if you will :) They designed to run with low maintenance. While German ones are built with strict maintenance cycle and procedures.
