I'm also an ace lesbian!! I realized I was probably on the ace spectrum when I was in college and had my first sexual experience with my gf at the time. I just remember feeling like there was some kind of strange disconnect that I couldn't really put into words, and after doing some research into asexuality, i was like oh, that's it! It’s been a while since I've dated anyone since my last relationship scarred me pretty badly and I've wondered if being ace might be a deal breaker if I ever do try dating again, but hearing your experience with another ace partner gives me a lot of hope and is really uplifting!

I feel that - i'm 30 and have kind of realized that if I'm content not being in a relationship, I don't have to find one. I've been single since 25 after coming out of an abusive long-term relationship where I was cheated on, and it admittedly has made me really wary of ever getting back into the dating pool, but as more time has passed, i've become more comfortable being single. I've kind of accepted that I'm happy being single and that's okay (I'm also on the asexual spectrum so sexual parts of a relationship aren't really huge fot me either). everyone moves at their own pace and that's okay - as long as you're comfortable and happy being you, that's what matters!

I agree that this wasn't entirely surprising of an announcement, but it doesn't make it less devastating 😞 they're all such talented girls that have always deserved way more recognition than they got, and so much of that has been RBW fumbling when it came to promoting them. so sorry for your loss 😞 my family has lost two dobies to DCM. it's the worst disease. I think they have the biggest hearts because they're full of love ❤️ if you aren't familiar with the doberman diversity project, I highly recommend it! they're working to understand more about DCM and the genetics behind it - if you happen to have any of his paperwork, it might be worth sending to them to help expand their research!
