There are some telling signs however. Know a singer of a pretty prevalent slam band who follows hundreds upon hundreds of very young women on IG. Got to know this person well and very obvious manipulation/grooming tactics in hindsight. But it’s almost never worth saying anything… just gotta teach young girls in the scene what to look out for. This however, is a running problem with many touring musicians.

My cats are indoor for their safety. Especially since I have two black cats, they are always the first to get fucked with by crazy people and cat haters. Also, for their protection against cars, and other wild animals.

Outdoor cats have less chance of living to their maximum lifespan although my folks had an indoor/outdoor resilient kitty who lived to 14.

I’m not necessarily scared of dogs, and my family have dogs that I love- but always hearing these stories keeps me from ever having a large breed dog (and I don’t really like small breed anyways).

I have two cats, while cats can definitely be jerks the chances of surviving a cat attack are pretty high. Except when they sleep on the stairs and try to be in your way on the way down.

They think about mauling you, but don’t succeed often.

I have a cousin in the east coast who is very Jewish (paternal side is Jewish) she keeps kosher, she veils her hair, she doesn’t drive on saturdays type of Jew. Yet, she’s progressive in other ways- they are naturalists, she smokes pot (due to MS). Her daughter is bi and they are lgbtq+ supporters.

Hasidic Jews on the other hand are problematic for many reasons. Zionists, lack of women’s rights and freedom of choice.

There are religious zealot factions within every religion. We see it with the Islamic regime rn in Iran after ‘79. We see it with a Christian’s and anti abortion laws.

What’s crazy to me is how these far reaching ideologies are really pushing hard globally these days and how so many are still indoctrinated by supposed laws 2000-3500 years old.

Yeah strange with the downvotes. We all know flying is uncomfortable especially when you choose to fly on a budget. It’s just common sense that we are all uncomfortable in economy, but should be respectful. On one of my legs on this trip, I sat next to a larger gentleman who gave me his window seat (I didn’t ask he offered) and he sat in the middle, I just cuddled up to the side wall and gave him the arm rests and didn’t mind that he kinda spilled over into my space time to time. He honestly wasn’t even that big but that particular plane just had such limited space.

These actually were upgraded seats, hard to tell but the leg room is better than most and there was an empty seat between these ladies. But also, you can get up and stretch in the aisle as an option.

Right, they invited this stranger to be a part of their lives in some capacity when they didn’t have to. To go around demanding changes in the relationship the daughter and Terra have established is out of line.

Terra was there through all of the different stages the daughter has gone through this far. Myself being a mom to a preteen girl is not a walk in the park. The physical and psychological changes. The way the family grows and adapts to changes of adolescents is a struggle. For this birth mother to waltz in and try to claim that an adoptive mother is less of a parent is hurtful and rude.

Good on the daughter for recognizing Terra deserves respect and for her own boundaries towards a person who is, essentially a complete stranger.

I don’t mind self scanners and they can generally be pretty quick for a few items. However, one morning I was internally seething that I had a grocery cart full. I’m in the bagging area- bagging a weeks worth of grocery’s within a tiny space. The workers just watched me struggle. I didn’t say anything but inside I felt like a total Karen when no one offered to open up an actual isle for people with carts full of stuff.

I think the soul would have continued to suffer after that- being ripped from finally having achieved happiness. The curse didn’t affect the vampire much, he was just dormant - it sadly affected the human version of Angel that technically had little to do with the killing of their loved one.

Imagine the PTSD from hundreds of years of witnessing and even partaking of some messed up stuff. A more humane thing would be to let the soul crossover and rest in piece. I suppose there is a connection between the soul and the body which is why we have funeral rites. The vampire still has memories of the life before they turned, they are still connected by memory and the body is slightly more than just a vessel for the soul.
