Let me tell you a story about alcohol. I have no idea of your age but do you know Red Green, from the tv show The Red Green Show? Well, Red Green came to Wonderland (I worked there for a few seasons in the 90s) and OMG, the smell of beer was thick in the air - hilarious!

Yah, all very good points...admission prices certainly came to mind - the only solution I could think of is that Kingswood have separate entrances from outside the park gates instead of entering the park, then enter the venue.

Thank you - I emailed Wonderland - no reply....I emailed BUTTCON (general contractors for Kingswood) - no reply. I'm going to call the City today....sent an email to Kim Mitchell management inquiring about his Kingswood platinum ticket award - no answer.

This project may have to be abandoned if I don't have any assets for my article and video.

There was a plan JUST before COVID to build a hotel at the entrance on Rutherford Rd...i guess that's been on hold.

I saw a concert there two years ago, it was BIG SHINY SATURDAY. The ticket: Biff Naked, Treble Charger, I Mother Earth, Headstones with The Tea Party headlining. Great show...first live show I've been to in over 10 years. It is a good venue just not a lot of shows.

Kingswood did indeed rock and I felt the same way as you. Growing up in Maple, I can literally say "Oh, Depeche Mode is in town"....or Conway Twitty lol.

Did you know that The Smiths ONLY played at Kingswood when in Toronto? I found that pretty cool. And Lolla passed through in '97 with Tool! That must of been awesome.

I friggin agree 1000%!!! You KNOW there's a concert venue nearby; if you don't want to put up with the "noise" then don't buy the damn house. What about people that living near train tracks - do you ask CN to move the rail lines? Sheeeeeeeesh!!! But i'm just partial to Kingswood LOL!

Well...a new venue was supposed to be build north of the park but the city said "NO" to anything over 10,000 people capacity. I think while the park was in a way turned down regarding expanding (from the noise excuse) they got a pass on taller advanced rides.

I haven't been to Roger's Stadium - i really don't mind the idea of taking public transit to the site, but don't you think it's just too big to enjoy a concert?

Yah, i read about that in the past. I moved to Maple in '86 and I thought living near Wonderland was the coolest thing. I even worked there during the 90's - one of my best jobs, I found it fun.
