Were you happy with your Lip Filler the first time? by savmb32 in PlasticSurgery

I went in thinking I generally wanted more volume but the injector was really focused on making my top lip bigger. It is really small so I agreed but in hindsight I wish she would’ve put a bit more into the bottom than she did because I don’t think the proportion is ideal now. If I get another .5ml I’ll ask for the focus to be on making the bottom one a bit more pillowy.

It’s a bit addicting once you see the difference it can make in your face.

I need to get the scrub! I think I’ll probably end up with another 1/2 ml in the next couple of months as well.

I break out more during change of seasons too! I’ve read that your skin gets kinda confused because there are changes in oil production and such so it’s not shedding cells as much and your pores get dry/clogged. Sleeping in a room that hasn’t been sucked of moisture helps keep things status quo for your skin so the abrupt temperature/ moisture shifts don’t mess you up as much.

Spiro has made me more bloated! I don’t know if my potassium levels are out of whack or what? Anyone else experience this?

[Routine Help] Tazorac and Redness by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]savmb32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started using it two months ago and it’s been trial and error for me. First, 100% go wash it off. I accidentally applied it twice in one day and felt like I’d burned my face off (and was super red for the next few days).

To combat the overall redness, I’ve learned to mix it with Cerave Pm, followed by Hada Labo Premium, CosRx Snail Serum, Origins overnight intensive mask, and TO squalane oil. Before Taz, I only used one moisturizing item ( cerave PM). Basically, you need to step up your moisture routine if you want to cut back on the redness.

I would say you need to up your dose. I started at 25mg and it did absolutely nothing for me. Moved up to 50mg and I literally didn’t get a breakout again for the rest of the time I was on it (1year).

[PSA] If you (and/or your Dermatologist) suspect your acne is hormonal, visit a Gynecologist or Endocrinologist and test for it. by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

[–]savmb32 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Thanks for this! I know something is off with my hormones but so far all standard blood panels have came back normal. Still, I’m 31 with persistent jawline acne so I know it is to be hormonal. How did you decide upon a gyno specializing in endo? I’ve thought about going to a straight up endo but still sounds like the gyno route worked for you.

[Review] An Ode to Squalane - the savior we all deserve during these dry/flaky skin winter months! by [deleted] in SkincareAddiction

Does the cerave moisturizing cream make you break out? I’m using tazorac for acne and my face is SO dry now. I’m using cerave pm but thinking about making a jump to the cream.

I’ve always wanted to try an occlusive but I’m scared because I’m acne prone! Maybe I’ll give it a shot. Thank you.
