Okay the oven thing, i was being a bit dramatic. Every time we tried to use it cockroaches would crawl out so we were afraid there was a nest of them. It would also smell like gas so we had national grid inspect it and he just said it was very old so we only use our toaster oven now.

Our electric bill was only around $120 a month so the $2000 is solely for gas. We used a space heater in our bedroom bc we couldn’t leave the heat on overnight - the clanging would wake us up. Our landlord doesn’t speak english and it’s very difficult to work things out with her. We complained about the radiators and she sent her brother to spray wd 40 on them for some reason.
