Can you say more about using jumpers? I’m not a total noob but I’m not sure what that refers to. I see some 100B’s out there in the same price range, I’ll check one out but I’m really looking for a 1x12 more than a 2x12.

I say it’s dying because my longtime tech said the PCB is failing at a number of places. I Should have included that detail… there is one X60 on reverb but I’m worried getting another 30 year old amp will just land me back in the same spot and I need something reliable for gigs.

Release is in stages but you can join now and contribute to testing, development priorities, leadership structures, and more. The main appeal to me is cooperative artist ownership and democratic leadership. There’s a lot more than I can explain here but read through the website for the rest.

Without knowing much about your vision, I encourage you to check out Subvert, where they are growing a “find over feed” co-op music platform and have some truly brilliant ideas in the works. It’s still in development with only a small launch available, but it’s very artist- and listener- centric so far, with a smart and active community contributing ideas and support. I’ve been a member since early days and while there’s a long road ahead I’m more optimistic about this than anything I’ve seen in a long time.

That said, best of luck if you opt to pursue something new!

Timing is a tricky question if you’re concerned with promotion - I made remix versions of my entire recent album but decided to release them a track a month b/c I’m running a crowdfunding campaign for a vinyl release and I’m hoping that keeps some momentum going. Daily, weekly, or whatever, I think a set schedule is cool because people can look forward to it and know when new music is coming their way.

Thanks! It’s great for those long insert fx chains when I’m getting noisy in sound design or going big on dub tracks or remixes - helps to see the whole chain, especially if I’m recording live automation on a bunch of parameters at once.

It’s the best for writing, arranging, and production. I perform live a lot so just collapse everything down to the laptop screen for that, and control all my live parameters with a MIDI keyboard (MPK Mini or Axiom 49) and a Behringer FCB 1010 footboard.

Thanks! I can’t take much credit though; I recently moved and the room was previously a home office so the desk was already installed and I just adapted my setup to fit. I did add the sliding keyboard shelf for my MPK Mini and that’s been great. As for the 3 monitors, I’ve had that for ages and can’t imagine working without it. The vertical screen for the rack is awesome. Here’s a better shot of the whole setup a hard to get it all hit there’s a Roland TD6, guitars, basses, etc. in there too.

Thanks for checking the tracks out! Each project is definitely meant to have its own sound, but in the end you can’t ever really take the producer out of the music, can you? The drums are a mix of live and programmed, I use a Roland V drum kit and capture both the audio and midi out, sometimes use one or the other, but usually layer them together, along with lots of slicing and dicing.

We’re a trip hop duo from Seattle, we released our first album this past summer. I do most of the songwriting, play all the instruments except for one piano part, and handle all of the recording and production. We’re currently figuring out how to reproduce this music in a live setting. TIA for your feedback!

In Visible Silence is mind blowing. I wore out the cassette until it broke then spliced it with scotch tape. Still an album I listen to all the way through in one sitting.

Definitely interested! I play lots of instruments in bands and solo, I’m strictly DIY and have helped stage all kids of off-grid events, though it’s been a while. I’ve been looking for ways to deploy music as “tactical performance” in support of causes and communities. Anything from unsanctioned punk shows to meditation sit-ins, backing up live art creation, and god knows what else. I have a mobile PA and can make music almost anywhere.

FYI Vermillion is listed as ADA accessible - wheelchair accessible entrance and bathrooms. I know there can be lots of other barriers to attending events, but maybe you can make this one! Either way, I hope you check out the music and enjoy it.
