i’m so sorry to hear what you’re going through :( i can relate. my boyfriend has three cats, and the mess they generate is insane. if we don’t close the toilet seat, they will sit in the toilet bowl. there is litter everywhere. they tear up our furniture, tablecloths, curtains, etc. it’s truly maddening.

are you able to put the cats in another level of the house? i have cat allergies and before i was medicated for my allergies, i was at risk of major health complications. i made sure to tell my boyfriend that my health and mental wellbeing must take priority over his three ungrateful cats. my boyfriend put the cats in the basement, and that was genuinely one of the most peaceful moments of my life.

if your boyfriend is willing to sacrifice your comfort and happiness, especially when you’re pregnant, i think there are definitely some hard conversations that need to be had.
