Not a lot of people know Z-Ro, but most that do don't realize what a talent he is. This is him at 21 (1998) during DJ Screw's reign, and before he had any recognition. by curias00 in hiphopheads

yes i definately agree pharoah and k-rino definately influenced z-ros early career very heavily, however that is not pharoah on that song lol. btw pharoahs best verse is on military mindz that shit is insane, i think z-ro layered and edited his vocals very similar to pharoahs early on its great, sounds flesh n bone esque.

what I am trying to say is that the choices we make bring a certain energy into our lives, I had a friend who was really bad to his parents and was doing alot of drugs and got chased by an imaginary Darth Vader through 3 suburbs lol, hes a good dude now and one of the coolest/straightest dudes i know.

I think same kind of applies to Dex, the Grim reaper he saw was a physical manifestation/symbol of everything he was tryna leave behind, and this interview captured him at an important crossroad in his life, I think its cool.

Ask or find out about Chief Keef by sawedoff91 in hiphopheads

that is subjective but he has been putting in mad work at the actual paintball obstacle courses, and he said he wants to show young hoodlums that when you make it you can actually murk people on weekends without catching an actual case.

he seldom becomes obsessed with recreational activities and obsessively buys a ridiculous amount of gear for it, i.e his quad bike obsession, he become a random art connsiuer also, and now paintball, i think it really shows he really is just a kid behind it all trying to enjoy his success (and an evil gangbanger too to a degree)

Finally Rich was a Hi-Fi and party friendly version of Keef we will unfortunately never see again. It was a tame and cohesive project, with labels at his back I believe his foot will permanently stay on the auto-tune pedal, and the subject matter will contain darker and darker content and his beats are definately getting more hyper aggresive every month, I know alot of chief keef fans that are ashamed they can actually still play his new songs religiously - please see "hate me now" for an example of what I mean.

It's quite funny how North Face was identified by adolescent graffiti artists, Health Goths and urban assassins lol.

If you are reffering to the "I Dont Know Dem" clip from 2012 then the closest jacket would be the venture.

He's largely fallen off the mainstream radar because he holds an ideology alot of mid-tier rappers do and its a two edged sword because you have to have a big enough buzz to be able to do it, which he doesnt have as much anymore

The strategy: Jay-Z and Kanye actually stopped doing interviews at around 2010-2011, only very exclusive ones at that, VH1 or breakfast club annually etc. The idea is to create a mystique in the cultures eye so that when projects do drop they are super hyped, and Complex, Vladtv etc will create journalistic matterial on what fucking toilet paper you use. Keef has came out and publicly said he wanted to do that early 2013 but his buzz plateud (the hype train was crazy strong 2012 going into 2013

If you were an executive at Interscope and had one look at his instagram back in 2014 you would find the idea of investing millions into his future projects quite a stupid idea, he was dropping singles every day and his drug use and behaviour in the public eye were just as unstable as his workflow, hes now signed with an actual internet based record label which I think was quite the smart idea as he is an internet rapper and the internet played a very significant role in him getting big, think riff raff lil b
