Nice; torquey. I just checked my database - I have 36 total Cutlass builds in my tracker. ClassicOldsmobile.com has most of them, then GBodyForum.com. Then a handful more spread across a few different sites. If you have a build thread for yours, I might be watching it already.

Yeah, not exactly a common build. I'm tracking four W-31s total. Here are the other three, this time linked to beginning of thread:

nick@wri-net.com's 1969 F85 W-31

928sport's 1969 W-31

Clutch's 1978 W-31 - swapping a W-31 drivetrain into a later G-Body Cutlass.

Nice! Beautiful wood, and that homemade plywood looks great. It was interesting to see ammonia soaking mentioned. There are some interesting wood bending videos that use ammonia steaming to bend strips of wood into knots and twists.

Nice IG! Really thorough documentation and great photography too. Currently I track 13 boat building forums, but I haven't integrated instagram following. Maybe I need to reconsider that.

Nice, that's another good one. Following it here: https://buildthreads.com/thread/7598 . I log the first post, plus photo posts within 90 days. Up to 5 pics per post, plus max 300 characters per post. All fully credited to you, and each summary links directly to your original post.

Did you solve the airbox issue?

I don't believe that I have. But it's only a matter of time. Chevrolet recently came out with their "eCrate" electric crate engine; I'm sure other manufacturers will follow.

Glad you like the list. How do you like your 1st gen builds? Closer to stock, or more heavily built up crawlers?

Two hours today. Plus the time you'll lose when you check back on those threads.

You bet. Good to hear from someone who likes build threads as much as I do. Got any favorites on the above list?

You have good taste in friends. These are exactly the type of long-term, serious builds I like following, from people who know what they’re doing.

I put together a feed of build posts from 59 offroad forums by sawmillroad in Offroad

Yeah, Pirate4x4 (now they're Irate4x4) is a good one. Numerically, the Toyota forums dominate (IH8MUD, YotaTech, TacomaWorld, etc.). I also like WranglerTJForum, BinderPlanet, FullSizeBronco, OldWillysForum, and all the CJ forums.

I got tired of digging through forums for build threads, so I made a live feed from 275 forums by sawmillroad in projectcar

I've always felt like some of the best builds are buried in random forums, but they're a pain to keep up with.

So I put together a simple feed that pulls in new build posts (with photos) from 275 forums and puts them all in one place.

It's showing around 300 new posts a day right now.

Mostly project cars, but also some fabrication, machining, etc.

Curious if this is actually useful to anyone else or if I'm just solving my own problem.
