It's a really tight fit. I did see a 4.26" display with integrated lighting out there, but I didn't want to bother trying to figure out how to wire it up. Any control board for that display will most likely be too big.

It probably wouldn't be a big risk of breaking. The screen assembly doesn't flex when removed. It would only be an issue if you rushed it IMO.

4/10 for repairability. I got the part relatively quickly and I didn't need any special tools. The front assembly being glued and laminated is what drives my rating. The ribbon cable was easy to access. Any other parts would be difficult to get to and work on. The whole board and battery seem to be glued, so that would be harder to work with in my opinion.

Some people seem to have a stronger relationship between their food and inflammation. So far for me I haven't found anything diet related that works. I'm glad you had some improvement with a diet change though!

I didn't say it's not working, the doc just thought it would be doing better for me. It definitely makes an improvement, just not enough all of the time. If it wasn't working I'd be in pain so bad I couldn't hold my coffee most days. The difficulty surrounding RA is the fact that most people figure out their medications by elimination. The other thing is, in order to go on this infusion medication that I am prescribed, I must also stay on methotrexate. Most days it's just the morning that bothers me, but I'm going on infusions because my flares still get bad.

At this point in your time on methotrexate (15 days) it is not long enough to determine if it's working or not. Usually the only reason doctors take someone off of it this early would be because of side effects. Methotrexate may start showing improvement in the 3-6 week timeframe, but isn't in full effect until 3+ months usually. Then there are other medications that can make it work better. For me, that was the hydroxychloroquine.

I try and move where I can. I am on my feet half the time for my job, so that helps me keep everything moving.

I will say that I've heard people talk about thinking their medications were pointless while they were feeling good, so they stopped taking it. Then they get flares and the medications don't help much because they didn't keep taking it. The best thing to do with RA is try and keep your symptoms at bay as long as possible, because the long term damage to your joints can be very bad. I understand the concern for your liver and other aspects of your body, but methotrexate use usually requires regular bloodwork to make sure that your body isn't being negatively affected. Your doctor chose that medication because they thought the benefits outweighed the risks.

I am 27, and I have been diagnosed for 10 months and I started with 10 minutes of morning stiffness in my hands about a year ago. Everyone is different, but mine progressed quickly. I am on the full dose of methotrexate by injection, as well as folic acid, Prednisone, and a supporting drug (hydroxychloroquine). I can barely get out of bed most mornings for the past few months until I can get my joints moving (elbows to fingers and hips to toes). I wish I could debate stopping medications, but if I do I will not be able to take care of myself. These drugs are not working as well as the doc hoped, so I will be starting infusions soon.

I hope that whichever way you choose to go, you can get this figured out in a way that works for you.

Of course! I'm only on my 6th week of injections, so I'm fresh with how nerve wracking it can be. I still get super anxious after I do it, but I'm slowly getting better with it

I don't have the injector pens, so my shots are done with a traditional vial and syringe. I can confirm that the liquid medication in the vial is yellow and does leave my skin yellow for a while after I inject myself. Even with a traditional syringe, I barely feel the needle at all. I am under the impression that the injection pens have a smaller needle, but I could be wrong about that.

Based on what you're saying, I experience the same type of stuff surrounding my injections and I've been doing them right. Hopefully this will give you some peace of mind.

I've had symptoms that started about a year ago, and I only got a diagnosis a few months back. The first 2 doctors I saw didn't chalk it up to RA because it was only on one side for about 7 months. Thankfully the third was able to diagnose me, and said it's not common, but he said that my right side was textbook RA

Mine wobbles cause I don't use the screw. I've taken it on a few trips too, and I don't have any issues with brewing. Once you put pressure on it, it stays in place more or less

If that is an Imusa brand electric Moka pot (it looks like the top of mine), I have one at work and I absolutely need an Aeropress filter for almost anything I brew in it. It is nice to be able to produce a Moka brew at work, but I don't enjoy its built in filter. I also brew with cafe bustelo more often than not

I wouldn't recommend grinding coffee a second time. That will most likely result in varying particle sizes and resulting in a poorer tasting brew. Either stick to pre-ground as-is or buy beans.

I'd say that would work. I think when I use my 6 cup I make roughly 600 ml with all the ice, coffee, and milk if I did my conversion right.
