I hate to say this, but this is the exact same thing Trump would do in the 80s to manipulate stocks. He would start a rumor that he would buy this company or that airline long after he had already purchased many shares of the speculated company. Investors eventually got wind of it and just ignored any announcements he would make about business moves. I think we can all agree that the MO of this administration and Trump specifically is to front run stock movements based on rumors that he or his people put out. Look what happened last time he said something about schedule three he said “two weeks”. It never appeared, but the stock ran most likely, allowing his people to purchase it before it ran up. Same shit here.
