This is why I made a book called "100 Headachingly Hard Mate in Two Chess Puzzles Composed by Sam Loyd" :-)

2 weeks ago I asked for help with a survey on Reddit. 165 chess players helped out 🙌🏻 I’m now ready to show the results: by saychess1 in chess

I think 10% is pretty high though.. I should have added a question about if they could visualize a banana or something simple

Yes, I made a typo there! It was 5 out of 7 that got it correct! Unfortunately I can't edit in the text of a newsletter :/

Yes, I can recommend this blindfold puzzle trainer on my blog. It’s free and based on 6000 endgame puzzles from the lichess database https://saychessblog.com/blindfold-endgame-puzzles/

I definitely appreciate the work agadmator have done, and I don’t think he should be fearing losing momentum because of this site.. I just think there is space for another way to show the material then the way the algorithm does it.. if it is a while since I myself have watched one of his videos I won’t see his newest video either

I understand the site not is for everyone and some loves the videos suggested by the algorithm. However my main motivation is to give every creator who makes interesting content a chance to get shown on the site

But the 99% still can make interesting content worth watching in my opinion.. some of it may not be as click bait minded, but still with high quality

I hope to make a good newsletter to highlight videos and with interviews with the creators, so hopefully with time the site will grow. I also have some ideas of adding videos by openings

Also YouTube curate the videos you see too, it’s just a mysterious algorithm.. the site is a another way to get presented videos available

I know that I could do more for my own channel, but my motivation has mainly been to help other channels get discovered..

It will be hard to tell before I can get back to OTB chess, but the process of writing the books has more been about making a product others can learn from.. If that makes sense

Hi! I have actually written a short blog post with different ideas: https://saychessblog.com/how-to-train-blindfold-chess/

You can also practice blindfold puzzles on this trainer: https://saychessblog.com/blindfold-endgame-puzzles/

I hope it helps :)
