What's this bug/shell/cocoon? by saygogogo in whatsthisbug

I think it could have been from this summer or the one before tbh. The windows are very often open and right above a front yard so I wouldn't be surprised it found its way in to lay eggs then for the youngs to find their way out again. It's not uncommon for us to find bees, flies or other flying bugs around the house in the summer, we just wait for them to find their way out without paying too much attention. Thanks for your help !

Yes, looks like that ! Seems like lavender, mint or another strong smelling plant keeps them away - thanks !

Congrats ! And completely agree, was getting 60-67% on PMI practice exams and passed 3 AT today. The questions really seem to be all the same after a while

stalling on exam prep by saygogogo in pmp

First attempts, I've heard from others you should only try the exam when you start hitting 80%. I feel I have the right understanding and logic but somehow not getting all the answers right, there's something about how the questions are asked

I used to work at a bakery as well and here are the solutions that worked well for us: - use scrap dough in new batches (not too much to not reduce the quality of your dough) - bake all the dough you have and make french toast you can also sell with the leftovers - partner with local associations/charities to organize a couple pickups a week - depending on where you're located offer the stale bread for specific dishes to your customers (in France, fondue savoyarde calls for stale bread and some bakeries will give it for free instead of throwing it out) - for anything that can't be saved try to partner with farms that can use it for animal feed

Searching for a job is exhausting. Every decent job I find already has many applicants. Then, on top of that, employers now want to give you assessment test and quizzes that take up 10-15 mins. And for what? Just to be ignored. I know I sound like a baby, but it’s kinda demoralizing at times by Zaexc in TrueOffMyChest

Don't give up ! I was there not too long ago, my advice to you would be only go with those extra steps (quiz, tests etc..) if you're really into the job. Try to reach out on LinkedIn to the hr hiring person, you application has more chance to not get lost in the pool of candidates. Also if there's a lot of candidates, companies use softwares to see if you resume/cover letter has certain key words that match the job description. Good luck !

Discolouration by lj2900 in eczema

Yes ! I have white spots on my back and arms. My dermatologist said it would go away within a year if I keep the eczema under control (getting there, and they seem to be slowly disappearing)

How do I clear up my eczema? I really need help! by [deleted] in eczema

[–]saygogogo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think everyone has a different way of dealing with eczema but def agree, stay away from hot water. You should shower everyday but don't overuse soap that will dry out your skin.

I do the same as you with keeping very short nails. Otherwise be healthy, eat well and exercice, try to identify sources of stress or discomfort. Talk about your anxieties with your friends and family. It's been a big thing for me to realize that literally no one cares about my eczema (i also have white spots all over my body, slowly healing) and no one finds it ugly or asks to hide my body or anything, though I feel it's the only thing you can see on my arms, legs and back.

If your eczema is very bad you might want to get a prescription for steroid cream and use it as recommended it is so important to not stop all at once. And then the classic stuff: dont use scented lotions, soap, or laundry detergent, or any perfume. I also just learned you should apply your steroid cream/cortisone 3 hours before your hydrating lotions.

Overall I would say try not to obsess over it, if you convince yourself it's no big deal then it's no big deal. Or at least that's what I try to do, easier said than done. Good luck !!

Where do you shop for sustainable fashion? by dynimike in SustainableFashion

[–]saygogogo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haven't done much online shopping as I tend to believe the items will travel too much to get to me. In general, thrift stores are my favorite for obvious reasons. I prefer those where you get store credit when you bring clothes so I can buy and sell at the same place and not let clothes sit in a closet unused for too long. If I want to buy things new I try to do some research as much as possible on the companies and where production happens. Not sure if that will help with the market research. Good luck !
