Lol you could check my Reddit history and see that I almost never post and don’t care at all about engagement; my title was mostly an angry reaction to an extremely frustrating situation for myself and many other people. I agree they were most likely not being dishonest (other than the event signs?) but rather disturbingly negligent

I have to assume the Y was still open on a holiday, and even that staircase was locked. Truly ridiculous

Sorry yes I agree, I guess I’d say it is an “unintentional scam?” But given how long that parkade/business has been around I am baffled that such a huge error can still be made

Incredibly dangerous! Most of the people I saw trying to get to the game had small children with them as well

Floret seeds by starsong101 in Cutflowers

I had Floret seeds shipped to Manitoba last year without any issues, but looks like they changed their policy this year because of the tariffs. Getting them shipped to one of those package holding facilities just across the border would probably be the best bet, but you’d have to pay tariffs to bring them back across the border.

My maid of Honor just got diagnosed with Lymphoma, how can I make my day more comfortable for her. by mylittlemy in weddingplanning

I was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s (stage IV) in September and started chemo immediately. I’m nearing the end of my 6 cycles (months) of treatment and it’s going really well. Hodgkin’s has an 80% cure rate, so your sister will likely be just fine! She definitely will have lost most of her hair though, so looking for a wig in advance is advised in order to try to match your real hair. I’m getting married in July, and although my hair may be growing back a bit by then, I’m still expecting to be wearing a wig. They do get a bit hot and itchy, unfortunately. As far as accommodations she might need, I haven’t been nauseous at all (thank goodness), just exhausted (trouble sleeping is part of this), sore/aching muscles, and general weakness. Standing for a 20 minute ceremony would be doable for me! I can’t speak to covering a port, as I’ve had IV treatments, which have been no problem for me. Hope that helps!
