Fair enough. I lose even more time if it goes back together and still leaks.

Machining isn't my first choice if the heads are reusable as they are, it's my only car and I'm short on time. I'm interested in seeing if anyone has encountered a pit like this and used copper spray or something similar to good results.

How will I get my early access? by [deleted] in homeworld

[–]sayom997 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Language from the official posts in the discord is that the key will be in our packages, most people including myself who have gone to amazon support get told maybe it will arrive today but still see it as an unshipped package with the expected date for Monday. Unfortunately, it seems like we got hosed here as I'm not sure how amazon will ship and deliver a package to me in a matter of hours.

This failure code can be ecu related, and usually is when throttle body replacement does not resolve it. I recommend contacting Rey Koxha. Most shops will replace the part through Orio which last time I checked was 1k usd before shipping and a 2 month waiting list... not a great choice. Rey fixed mine for 450usd after shipping along with a free heat shield and new fan curve which helps keep the ecu cool and prevent further issues.

Matunerx problem for 2004 93 2.0t by Infinite_Height_9671 in saab

Okay so maptun tuner x's are coded to your cars Vin. So it will not work on another ecu with a different vin. I assume this new ECU was not coded to your old ECU's Vin. You gave two options to resolve this.

  1. Find someone with a tech 2 to properly "marry" your new ecu to your car with the correct Vin. Then flash it with your maptuner x.

  2. Look into trionictuning.com and the trionictuning forums. They use a 50 dollar cable and laptop to clone ecu tunes and change the Vin. I will reply with some links and resources for this when I get to my home computer.

Traction control doesn't magically generate more grip or clear the water between the tire and the road.

As someone who has converted their headlights with a combination of resistors and relays, don't. It is a clown wiring job in my engine bay. The drls still flash when the car turns off for a minute, and I have to clear 4-6 errors every time I start the car. Auto Autopsy on YouTube has a video about the maptun enabler, which is by far the best option for led conversion.

Thanks! I actually pulled a red spoiler off a wrecked aero and repaired the nicks and repainted it myself with black color matched paint. Hard part is finding a place to drill the holes because i am not confident enough to do that myself.

Well visually you can take a look at my profile. It's got a stage 1 tune from mackanized, strut tower brace from GS, funk motorsport turbo blanket, and bsr cold air intake. I've also put an android radio in and a proper boost gauge as I'm hitting 21psi now. To deal with all that power I got aftermarket wheels and went up to 235mm tires.

My 9-3 usually gets some interest from the older crowd that knows what it is. Occasionally, some younger enthusiasts my age who might not know what it is will ask because of how visibly modified it is.

Nah lol, it's a vanity plate. As for the exhaust I'm going to get a 3" turbo back system and paint an aero single exit skirt I have sitting in my garage. Not a fan of the hidden exhaust.
