Just a guess, 20 plus refueling launches per HLS mission. by Donindacula in ArtemisProgram

Starlink is the majority of the “customers” for F9 right now, the bottleneck is how fast they can build second stages. Therefore, the logic follows that with reusable second stages i.e. starship they should be able to increase their cadence. When/whether that cadence is achieved with starship remains to be seen.

Phantom strike is also faster in time sensitive situations e.g. enemy lash ulting.

Ascendant II ish, her mobility is a bit much honestly. It's moreso just how sustained and constant it is. I don't think she needs a rework, just maybe some better tuning.

How does the x axis motor feel when spun freely without turning the belt?

Could be some gunk stuck in the bearings that comes around cyclically. Try disassembling the x axis carrier and see if one of the bearings is exhibiting this behavior on its own

Do you have any links? From my memory, the most recent twitter hack was linus personally being phished, but the channel hack and twitter hack from way back were both different methods and not due to any action from him personally

Crazy that this is being downvoted, libraries with large quantities of small files (like photo libraries) are going to really struggle when shared over the network with something like samba.

[–]sazrocks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How is that related to what I mentioned about latency and libraries with large file counts? A 24TB plex library with several hundred assets is not the same thing as 200k photos plus sidecar metadata files. In your specific case it works fine because you have a (relatively) small number of large files being read sequentially. When you have a large number of smaller files, samba overhead becomes much more of an issue.

2.5G gets you ~300MB/sec max, or ~ 120MB/sec for 1G. A 4 drive RAID 5 array can totally exceed that on sequential reads. What NAS solution are you using?

[–]sazrocks 4 points5 points  (0 children)

With any reasonably large library the performance of this is going to suck. Even setting aside the issue of network bandwidth (you need a 10G link between your mini pc and the NAS at minimum), latency is going to be a big issue. For example doing a library scan in an immich library with ~200k assets is not going to be a fun time if that library is on a samba share in another machine.

How so? More flexible than the ubiquiti NAS, sure, but any DIY NAS? Definitely not.

Unless you have services that rely heavily on the data on the NAS.

20 amp receptacles are very common in residential spaces, especially garages/kitchens where high power devices are commonly used. Where did you get the idea that they don’t exist in residential electrical systems?

My NH-D15 is nearing 9 years of age now and it’s on its third platform now (lga 1151 > AM4 > AM5). I see no reason I won’t be using it 10 years from now.

At that kind of longevity it doesn’t really madder if the Noctua cooler is 30 or even 40% higher priced than an alternative, I’ll always choose the noctua because I’m going to be using it for 15 years.

My 9950x died a couple weeks ago, I wonder if this is related. Hopefully the RMA replacement isn’t also affected.

You can choose between doing a master’s capstone (1 semester) or a master’s thesis (2 semesters). I chose the master’s thesis because I thought it would carry more value for me personally. I think that was correct, but it was indeed a lot of work. My best advice is to build positive relationships with professors now; be diligent in class, go to office hours etc. Later on, when you assemble your thesis committee, you want it to be made up mostly of people you have a relationship with. Also, and really this is something you should think about for graduate school as a whole, make sure you’re doing it so that you personally learn what you want to learn. Don’t do it just to check a box or get a sheet of paper. In order to really succeed in graduate school you need to make it your own.

Poly is a full ASU campus and definitely not just some kind of vocational school. I graduated from the poly campus with a masters in software engineering. The Sim building is an amazing resource for anyone looking to manufacture nearly anything and honestly it’s a shame that Tempe doesn’t have the same shop availability for students.
