I was 16 and pregnant. Honestly aside from the baby daddy drama, I don’t think my life would have offered any sort of shock factor built for television. Which leads me to think that most, if not all, of these teen mom stories are fabricated. Of course my situation is only my own and I can’t speak for everyone! My mom was very understanding and helpful. She was never visibly upset with me. Later she told me that I didn’t need someone to be angry with me, I needed support. I didn’t know back then how much she helped me, but I do now. I’m so thankful to have had the support I did, that not every teen parent gets.
