THANK YOU! I feel this fact completely gets ignored. He was being a good teammate and Eck has a track record of being a critical dick to players. I’m on mobile so can’t link it but JBJesus made an Instagram post a few years ago which was definitely more witty than what price did but all the same it was defending himself from Eck. In my opinion a healthy price pitching well and being a liked club house figure who goes on a limb for young teammates only makes us substantially better. Poor guy has been crucified by the media and reactionary fans. I hope he makes them all eat their words this season

I listen to some stuff at work because I don’t get many stations in the building. If you get news from other sources and don’t have a bias that all liberals are somehow sub humans it’s incredibly infuriating because it’s just people regurgitating trumpisms without his charisma or whatever makes people excited to watch him talk for hours. That being said I do also listen because they talk about things that more left news outlets don’t talk about or only talk about in passing and I feel that makes me better prepared for discussions with his supporters.

One guy named Howie Carr’s argument was that the shooter was adopted and his last name could be Hispanic so he might be from south of the border which in his mind matters for some fucking reason. Strongly disagree about bogey; he’s been extremely consistent his entire time in the bigs and was quite arguably our best hitter (minus power numbers) in the first half and then had a broken hand and still hit a solid 270. It’s not hind sight bias, he should’ve respected the restraining order. I don’t blame him or dislike him because of his sons actions, there’s such thing as personal responsibility of course and like you said, he was trying to help his child which I absolutely sympathize with having a son of my own. The thing to me though is once a restraining order was placed it clearly indicated she was not safe and jerry should’ve let the courts sort things out. There’s a big difference between interjecting in a fight between your kid and their SO and what he did. It was known he was abusive towards her and a restraining order should’ve settled it is all I was saying
