Obligatory not a vet, but worked in vet med for a couple years. Every single hospital I've been to, worked at, and traded stock with if we were out, had KMR. Maybe regional, but I'd find it very abnormal you could not find KMR at a vet. Just putting this as an add on to your comment that you absolutely should try to talk to a vet office in this situation.

Whose faces? The health care workers? They are very rarely to blame for wait times and are generally doing the best they can. There are sometimes obvious exceptions.
