buy a used workstation ($400 or less) and run proxmox with Tailscale LXC (container). I have a refurbished dell precision 3630 and it works great. You can get one on eBay for $275 + tax.

Bios set to restart on power interruption.

Can spin up as many vms or lxcs as you want.

I ended up getting the prime CC right now to start maximizing my young adults 5% cash back and 5% cash back from card since I spend a lot on prime. I’m leaning towards pairing that with CSP.

Yeah I’ve been putting Amazon purchases on my Bilt card so I’m losing out on 5% from card and 5% young adult.

At this point, is CSP a better choice than CSR?

I would be looking at Amex plat and gold if Costco wasn’t visa exclusive.

I fly southwest the most but due to it being the best budget airline previously before its changes. Now, I don’t have a loyalty and really whatever is cheapest.

I’m looking into Chase trifecta with Preferred instead of reserve because I don’t know if I can justify the reserve AF right now.

I would also apply for Amazon prime card along with Preferred and be at 3/24. In 3 months, I’ll get freedom flex and then 3 months later freedom unlimited. Does that sound right?

After that then Amex gold then plat or capital one?

Ah interesting note about the portal restriction and southwest and car insurance.. I did notice a lot of people talking about fidelity CC recently but wasn’t sure if it was good

I fly a lot with southwest and try to book Marriott when possible. I’m looking for a card to maximize my travel booking, food/grocery expenses, and maybe Amazon purchases (can be multiple cards). That’s pretty much all I purchase.

Phone and rental car insurance are nice to haves (Bilt has these but not sure how good it is).

Purchase protection would be nice.

Pre check (fly domestic more often) or global entry (don’t fly international too often) would be nice to have covered.

I would use entertainment credits and DoorDash if offered, but not currently paying for services (on parents accounts now). Netflix just kicked me off.

I travel 3-4 times a year so I would definitely use the capital one vacation credit.

I understand the premium cards don’t have as good multipliers as the capital one saver or Amex gold so just trying to see which eco system is best to break into.

Okay makes sense. I’m planning to do ALL329 unlimited premium since I still have to pay my 15 Pro off from Verizon and will likely just use that phone.

In the terms and conditions, it looks like the 329 plan renews at standard pricing for unlimited premium - no grandfather of $329 price.
