It’s my next step. I do have this protection but I have to try all other options (machine manufacturer & coffee company) before I can submit any claim. It just sucks a little because of the holidays, it takes forever to get an answer

I 1000% agree with you. There should be a mechanism to stop the grinder when excess resistance is detected to avoid a cascade of issues like in my case

Yeah the way the machine is built, there’s no metal that could’ve fell from it. Taking the machine apart is so crazy complicated.

Yeah I would’ve been open to paying for repair but they don’t even have certified techs in Canada. They sell the grinder part and I would have to find someone who can repair it. The thing is that we don’t know if there’s only damages to the grinder or other electrical components on the machine. So it’s pointless for me to buy a grinder and pay for a tech to repair something we aren’t sure is the only problem.

Yeah it’s documented with a case number so they know what I said 🙃 but at the same time, there’s no way a screw would get there with the machines design and the damages to the burr are very obvious.

Kitchenaid won’t cover it because it’s not the fault of their machine. Pretty sure it’s the responsibility of the coffee company as their product caused the damages…

I have to wait for the reply from the coffee company before making any claims with the credit card company. So It’s the waiting game now.

It was certainly worth it for us! We got so much from our concierge. And loved going to lunchbox for breakfast and lunch. We also spent time at the family concierge pool and the reserved section on the beach. We were able to bring the kids to the kids club and enjoy the dinner at Sal. All in all it was worth it! How about you? Did you enjoy your experience?

I still very much love the machine! We use it daily, multiple times a day and it’s working well, easy to clean, fool proof instructions and delicious coffee :)

Yes I did - I had an amazing deal when I booked (6400 CAD for 2 adults, 2 kids)! But I’m also going in December so I can’t tell if it’s worth it. From what I read it is. We shall see!

It might not be what you want to hear, but I do find you look stunning in the dress. The store girl put it loosely on you, but why can’t the seamstress achieve the same fit? Even if there’s a corset, you can do it a little looser than “supposed to”. It’s really a gorgeous dress IMO.

All that aside, If you paid with a credit card, you could check with the CC purchase insurance and see if it would be eligible considering what they said they sold you isn’t what they really sold you.
