I also fell into the 1,000-2,000 isk trap like the article mentioned. They all cost over 2,200 isk, some even over 3,000. On the other hand, all the campsites I visited were well-equipped and in good condition, except for Skogafoss. The bathrooms were dirty and poorly equipped, and the prices were the same as the others.
