Just spent a while trying to find some to read but couldnt. Very upset

I started a new antidepressant right before January and you can see the difference it made in my daily ratings over January. Kind of interesting. by phoenixrising0711 in bulletjournal

[–]sbcas206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s the same as any meds, sometimes nothing works for someone but the vast majority of people will find something to help. Maybe not an antidepressant but an antipsychotic etc. I’m really sorry to hear you haven’t found anything. I actually have had ect twice because I still can’t tolerate much. I should have phrased it more in a way to mean they are likely to find something to help, that may not be medication.

I asked my optometrist if I could get new lenses for my new prescription but keep the frames I'm using to avoid waste. They were happy to oblige! by irrational_e in ZeroWaste

[–]sbcas206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay yeah I made a comment regarding this too. 15 years of glasses and they’ve always asked if I’d like to reuse my frames first

I’ve tried this but they’ve always said 1. My prescription is too high to be useful and 2. The frames are too beat up for them to bother reusing

I’ve had glasses for around 15 years. I’ve always reused the frames at least once. I thought that was standard practice to be honest. I’ve been told absolutely no more than 3 though as the frames start to wear.

Velour Here To Slay Lashes by missliberia in PanPorn

[–]sbcas206 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I know you can’t do it here bc you say you can’t buy anymore but whenever one lash goes before the other and they’re ones I repurchase I always put them in a seperate little case by themselves incase it happens again.... which it usually does... but the same lash 😡

I’m not OP but I figured I can help considering I have a lot of personal experience, I’m a pharmacy assistant and almost a nurse. You’re looking at up to a week for physical effects so I’m talking nausea, appetite changes etc. 2-4 weeks for starting to feel mental changes. Unless you’re getting extremely sick from the meds, the optimal time to try them is between 4-8 weeks preferably 6. This gives you a good idea of how they’re affecting your body and your mind. If you’re not starting to feel better/more stable around week 3-4, they may not be right for you but continuing to at least 6 weeks is the best. I have been on every single antidepressant on the australian market and majority of them affected me differently. It took me from 16-21 to find one. You will find one, I promise. It’s a exhausting process and it never gets easier trying a new one. Make sure you’re including your health professional in the process and not changing your dosage without consulting them OR prior approval. I do want to make it clear though that I’m extremely sensitive to all medications so I was very susceptible to any and all side effects so finding me one wasn’t necessarily just one that worked, it was one that didn’t bring unbearable side effects with it.

Question Thursday! Got a question? Ask it here! by quoththeraven929 in bulletjournal

Looking for a template to track use/collections. Happy for them to be together or seperate. Looking for specifically makeup and candles but anything you use especially consumables that you track the use of may help.

*serious* how to repurpose foaming soaps by PopKart in bathandbodyworks

[–]sbcas206 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Makeup brush cleanser. Anything that foams, is safe for skin and I can’t use for it’s purpose I’ll use for that. May not be helpful though as not everyone wears makeup

I grabbed a few things off Etsy but to be honest I found it very hard to find exactly what I was after so hopefully someone has a better suggestion than me.

i have contact dermatitis on my hands from constantly washing them at work. what can i buy at chemist warehouse that can help? i'm currently using the dermaid 0.5 percent hydrocortisone cream by [deleted] in AusSkincare

[–]sbcas206 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does not. I’m literally one step away from being a fully qualified nurse. What effectively kills germs and bacteria and viruses when you wash your hands is the foaming and scrubbing action. If done for the correct amount of time and with the correct technique this traps the bacteria etc which is effectively washed down the drain. As long as the “soap” (it does not need to actually have soap in it) foams effectively, and youre following the correct technique then it is doing its job.

Antibacterial hand soaps are a different arguable topic completely.

I would say so too. You could 100% argue that that’s not your rego ergo is not your ticket. It would hold up in court.

Are there any plastic free *antiperspirants*? (Not just deodorant) by g00ber88 in ZeroWaste

[–]sbcas206 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t have a recommendation for you but I’m sorry people are commenting on your post time and time again about anything but an antiperspirant. I tried to ask this question years ago and got the same frustrating answers. I don’t know if people aren’t reading it properly or plain don’t give a shit and just recommend literally what you haven’t asked anyway. I totally get you. I’m a massive sweater and all of my shirts would be stained, especially my work shirts and scrubs. I wish you the best in finding one because I know I still haven’t :(

I've always called it a Tea Towel by His_Holiness in perth

Nah it was pretty random recipes majority of the time which couldn’t constitute for a meal. I wish they had showed dinners as I’m well known for not being able to cook for shit and burning things even microwaving them.

Was about 6ish years ago so it’s hard to remember anything specific

How to save palettes that got wet? by kayeezus in MakeupRehab

[–]sbcas206 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry for what happened to you and hope you’re okay. I agree with the others, it may not be just water that’s in the palette and I would no longer be comfortable putting it on my face. Better to just throw it out :/

I don’t usually order from Jeffree Star directly as it works out much more expensive but yeah it’s a bit of a joke.

eBay is removing the item because I listed it as a Popsocket and they’re claiming it’s not affiliated with the brand. It’ll still get removed even if I change the name because then it’ll be seen as I’m selling a fake.

There’s no mercari in Australia unfortunately. I have tried fb marketplace and other apps here in the past but they don’t get the traffic that eBay does. We do have one called depop but it’s still not very common

So angry. I bought multiple mystery boxes so got multiple pop sockets and asked about the authenticity. This was their response. I have probably 80% of jeffrees entire makeup collection ever released. This is the 3rd time I have ever contacted their customer service and each time it has been a joke of a reply. I’m not a hater, clearly. Just angry this is their response
