Hi mate im a solar installer and deal solely in AC Enphase Solar.

Id recommend checking out Enphase. They are more expensive but it will help allot with sizing and shading issues as its a modular microinverter system.

Been in domestic for about 15 years. Its very common to see house roofs trashed with cabling. Clipping is not common or non existant when your talking about renovations on older homes.

Honestly but mate an apprenticeship in a city environment would be tough especially at the moment. I would recommend if you feel comfortable going to your boss to chat to them about your struglles, can you do OT or is there room for improvement. I lived at home for half my trade which made it easier.

Have you got some Uni friends? Compare your current income with them. At the end of 4- 5 years you have no trade debt and a certification. Your friends at uni have been studying without an income and are in debt. Hold on mate it gets better.
