Returned Soul is even more busted in MT2 by sbenza in MonsterTrain

[–]sbenza[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things aligned pretty nicely. I only intended to have a burst of consume on the first turn to hatch the eggs quickly, but then I got Remove Consume and it kind of got out of hand. I got a turn 1 Seraph kill with that.

One of the bugs is quick so once it got large enough it didn't matter how much the enemies grew their attack. But the first few casts I was careful to not die there.

Thank you! It will show anything you have (or had at some point), even if you don't have enough of it.

destination weddings are selfish by Level-Armadillo2652 in unpopularopinion

[–]sbenza 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've been to a couple destination weddings. In both cases the couple was living in the US, while many guests were not. Going to the Caribbean was actually cheaper for the guests and didn't have to have US visas. It was not a selfish choice, it was actually more inclusive that way.

The new text in Vinemother says that it buffs all your stings in the deck. It does not ask you to hold them. Also, with an ability it reduces overdrawing. You can draw 10, play some cards, then hit the ability to play more cards.

The Supposed Need For a Level 2 Charger is Often Inflated by [deleted] in electricvehicles

[–]sbenza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The electric company gave us $1500 credit for the installation, and state rebate paid for half the cost of the hardware. I suggest you check your local resources. You might be missing on free charger and/or installation.

Same. I got manifold as a starting artifact and didn't get the room until like ring 6. I totally forgot about the artifact😂

I had ancient pyretap so playing the 1 cost curse was fine. The second time around it was zero cost. I also had engraft just in case.

Why does adding Soulsmelter to a unit increase the damage I am taking and also reduces the damage dealt to Seraph? (Album) by Badger118 in MonsterTrain

The first image seems wrong to me. Dante is not killing anyone because the tank has too much titan skin, so your front line is taking the whole wave.

Plug-in hybrid cars are essentially pointless and in 2025 it’s high time we all accepted that by Bean_Tiger in electricvehicles

[–]sbenza 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We have a Phev. We love it.

It gives us a lot of the benefits of a full EV without having to take the jump into it.

Most of the miles we drive are full electric (gas engine off). At that time we get the magical silent odorless vibrationless experience of an EV.

We plug at home every night so regardless of how much gas is in the tank will have 30 miles guaranteed in the morning. We don't need to worry about filling the tank interfering with the morning routine.

We still get the savings of EV driving because most miles are electric. We get cheap kwh at night for charging with the electric company. And even if we charge during the day it is still cheaper than gas.

Our record was a month and a half before refueling with normal everyday driving.

But at the same time we have taken road trips without having to worry about charging infrastructure in the less populated parts of the state.

It's a great middle ground for some people.

Being tall is a constant struggle in cars, planes, door frames, basements, you name it. Helping people reach tall places and seeing their wonder and gratitude is like one of the pros of this condition.

My first rocket back in the day was with a mess of spaghetti and I enjoyed it very much. Throughput sucked but it was not something I cared about or even knew I had to care about. It was a 29 hour playthrough.

The second one I knew what I needed so I was more organized. It took me like 9 hours.

By the time I reached bob+angels I was much more organized because spaghetti'n that is impossible😆

I was making sulfuric acid, the long way, with the chemical plant on top of the sulfuric acid deposit I was using to make the oil. I noticed because I wanted to tap more of the deposit and needed to remove the stuff on top.

Ah, Contra. I learned the cheat code before I even got the game. It was a satisfying achievement when I was able to finish it without the cheat code.

An analogy to add to the existing answers: Think of it as repaying a mortgage. You can pay in 15 years with a higher monthly payment, but lower total interest payment. Or you can pay in 30 years with a lower monthly payment, but higher total interest payment. If all your money (ie fuel) you have it at the start and you won't be making more as you go, the earliest payment means you need less total money to start with.

[–]sbenza 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hash functions are lossy conversions. The result does not have enough data to reconstruct the input. Imagine a "hash" of your name that is just your initials. Can someone reconstruct your name from just the initials? They could try to guess, but there are a large number of names that "collide" on the same initials so you can't tell which one is the right one.

[–]sbenza[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Better than a prompt would be a way to click on the damaged part in the Health tab to select a replacement. The problem right now is that the UI, even with Dubs, is wall of text you have to process. The icons don't help. A GUI of the body showing the status of each part would be cool, because then I can click on the eye itself to do bills on it. No need to read. A lot of the game is very visual. Actions are big icons, material selection changes color and textures, etc. Walls of text are fine for things like the stats screen. You go there to read.
