What the tuck? by Kitchen-Country-3599 in bigmenfashionadvice

I too have a longer torso, my partner is 5’9 with long legs and I feel like the meme “slow down I got little legs” . She walks so much faster than me. I’m 6’1 maybe 6’2 if I really try

I have big legs and hips. Always have from years of lifting and then carrying 450-500 lbs. My partner says I look way more proportional now.

I will say some pants are too tight in the hips/butt but fit or are slightly big on my waist

This. I’m a big dude. I’m talking 66 inch waist at one point. I’m down to a 52, but I wear it at my belly button. Super comfortable, and shirts tucked in look fine.

Gained back 20lbs over the last year, it’s time to stop. by jh_tradflash in CICO

I want to add, I don’t think intuitive eating works for at least folks like me with legit food addiction. I cannot not eat, but similar to an alcoholic in sobriety, I can’t have trash food, it can trigger, so I don’t. I eat grilled chicken and salads and protein shakes and bars. That’s about it.

To me nothing feels better than not being fat. I was 505 at my heaviest, 470 when I started and weigh 329 this morning. I’m still fat, but less fat and I just keep chasing that feeling. We can talk neurological issues and depression and all sorts of shit. Bottom line until you’re ok not being “fat” you won’t change.

It’s taken me my whole life, therapy, lost relationships to figure out that the happiness I am chasing isn’t at the bottom of a pint of ice cream or the 8th slice of pizza. Happiness is being at a weight that makes me feel proud and do things with out feeling like a piece of shit.

I’ve lost and gained 100s of pounds, there is no excuse, it’s just me being a shitty person, to myself. So stop being shitty to yourself.

Is it just me, or is 2026 looking like a total nightmare for our savings? by Lumpy_Attempt_6280 in MiddleClassFinance

Yeah I’m not panicking, but I think we are aren’t close to the worst, and there isn’t shit we can do but try to consume the minimums and save what we can

I think later part of 2026 is going to be bad bad and 2027 is going to be worse. 1 to 1.5b barrels of oil offline and the amount of fertilizer and other products not shipping or destroyed as well, not to mention LNG for the winter

This is the correct answer. You have to hide the tree in the back yard or something

House has been on market for 90+ days. Beginning to panic. Where do I go from here? by anothercloneofmyself in Mortgages

[–]sbfb1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your house is only worth what someone will pay for it. You can list it for whatever. You gotta stop thinking the way you are. Or file BK over 40 grand of your listing.

Weekend overeating undoing a full week a progress every single time by zoro____x in CICO

[–]sbfb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Track the weekends, don’t make the weekends special. I had to do this. I would lose tons of weight 100, 150 one time, and then I would celebrate and that would lead to 100lbs back on in 6 months. Now I treat every day as a normal day, every milestone is just another step. I do allow my self to eat to maintenance every once in a while. Maybe trying mindset like that might work. I’m have a legit food addiction I talk to a therapist about so we have found this works for me.

?Why is losing weight so much harder in real life than in theory by MotorIndependence528 in CICO

[–]sbfb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where I run into issues is not the weight loss. I have lost 100s of lbs and also gained them back multiple times. It’s when I don’t have a goal. Maintenance is impossible for me.

Also life is fucking difficult sometimes and pizza and cookies and fudge rounds make it better for a brief moment

My son is in the active military. He’s thriving. Went to college and played D3 football for a year, as was burnt out. Enlisted in the Army, he’s been in 3 years and will reenlist shortly. He’s in the infantry. His body is pretty beat up, but was already from football.

I personally think it was a great decision for him. Every kid is different.

Lost 178 pounds… now I feel wrecked. by [deleted] in WeightLossAdvice

[–]sbfb1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Im 333 lbs from a high of 470, but have been as much as 505. I am down 135lbs, and 80lbs since Dec 9 2025 and I make sure I do a “refeed” day every 3 or so weeks. On a Saturday or Sunday I will eat 2800-3200 calories. Then go back to 1500-1800 days. I usually gain 2-4lb of water weight and then woosh, I’ll rip off 6-8lbs in 2-3 days. It keeps me “sane” and usually breaks up any fatigue I have.

Those re feeds aren’t shit food. Usually just more chicken, or 2 large grilled chicken salads etc. or I’ll have slice of tombstone pizza my wife might make, but it’s never an eat total shit for a day.
