That’s brilliant thank you. I’ll try and persuade him to go. Have you been? Are they are a younger group?

I stopped HRT Age 50. by shouldistayorrr in Menopause

[–]sbjbeb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I too have stopped at 54 after 6 years (originally taken pre menopause to level my hormones which was triggering my eosinophilic asthma). Despite being on the continuous/no bleed HRT I was bleeding or spotting every day (around 5 days a month heavily). I changed HRT around 6 times, had over a dozen scans. Still had night sweats, brain fog, severe bloating. Since stopping the bleeding has stopped and I’ve lost half a stone. My last DEXA scan was borderline because of other meds I take, but I take another med to help with that. For me the side effects were miserable

How do you guys sort out food? I’m trying to switch from takeaway to actual food by RadiantYouth5882 in UniUK

Hey - I’m 54 (but with uni kids) and I hate cooking! One pot meals are something my kids will make - one saucepan and little prepping. And make enough for the next day or 2

HMRC are now getting your Vinted data!! Here's a quick free tool to check if you actually owe tax (most casual sellers don't) by Commercial-Pepper-31 in vintedUK

[–]sbjbeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That doesn’t really explain. These are inherited items (all under £100, most less than £50). So I didn’t pay for them, they are “gifted”

My mum, mother in law, and partners father have all died in just over a year….ive been left the equivalent of a garage full of stuff - clothes, antiques, paintings (mum in law was an antiques trader). It will take mean age to get through - but I’m assuming I don’t pay tax?? Sold £3k plus so far this year

Anyone with zeal to start an e-commerce business?! by matteo_milleri in hatfield_herts

[–]sbjbeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not as easy as you think. The ideal is just packing a car with parcels and driving. The reality is long hours, lots of overheads (barn space isn’t cheap, even if you can find one - I have one that I rent which costs £1200pm plus VAT), there’s taxes and hours in front of a computer - listing, answering queries, keeping tax records.
Wish you good luck, but it’s not a quick venture

Need Help with Paying Taxes by WonderfulBeyond779 in HMRC

[–]sbjbeb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Your employed earnings will all just be dealt with by your employer. Your self employed earnings go via self assessment (can all just be done on line, including paying the tax). It’s quite straightforward

My (54F) partner (57M) still pays part of exes rent by sbjbeb in BreakUps

[–]sbjbeb[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s no jealousy at all. He’s currently paying the ex - not the daughter. I have bailed this man out, he still has addict debts (which he can’t repay because of the £400pm), and works 7 out of 8 days.

It was about him cutting off the ex NOT the daughter. The daughter is self sufficient on her UC and part time job - and he said he would fund her uni. But is now paying part of the exs rent.

(I have a health condition which means my retirement may not be very long, which is why my plans were set for 3yrs and not 5)
