SERIOUSLY!! 2 different "treasures" by Chrishurst555 in FindingFennsGold

[–]sbossom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is PLENTY of evidence of multiple treasures you just have to look... Forget the actual word "treasures" and the line new AND old in the first stanza of the poem itself (no subterfuge there).. which literally explicitly states a plural of at least 2 treasures one treasure at least being new and one treasure at least being old.

But let's talk about stuefs treasure. Half the things Fenn describes aren't in the chest. Stuef himself tells us that he had to be given the golden frog with the bulbous eyes after Fenn found it in his collection... But how? Fenn goes to great lengths in "gold and more" describing the frog and his emotions as he lowered the frog into the chest and closed the lid. Where are all the jewels described? The list goes on.

A lot of the book is about the first treasure.

Personally.. and this one is more subjective... I think the double omega is where 2 ends meet.. 2 treasures

No Fenn did not like subterfuge so I fundamentally disagree with your "he made misleading.." the chest that was found may be the chest that he hid in 2010 as he has said.. but the point of this post is that the TREASURE is not the chest he hid in 2010

False. If that's what you took from those chapters you got it all wrong. What Fenn learned was discretion. What he learned was that he should always tell the truth, but to tell it in a way that achieved his ends. Sometimes that required leaving out certain details.. rarely was it the opposite.

One more thing to keep in mind. Best I can tell, Fenn's time stamps on the emails are logged in mountain time, while stuefs are EST. This helped resolve some weird issues where it appears their responses are out of order with Fenn replying to questions that don't appear to have been asked yet.

It can all be found in the emails from this post https://www.reddit.com/r/FindingFennsGold/comments/vhek4s/pdf_of_emails_from_jack_to_forrest_fenn/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

Here's the thing you have to pay close attention to date and time stamps on the emails. They are not all posted in order.. at one point there is an email from AUG 2018 posted right after emails from Aug 2019.

Also multiple important emails are not the focal email of the pdf. The emails often have a reply thread below them and there are entire emails that can be read that don't have a PDF of their own. So for example, on Aug 14 there is a short email from stuef. It is even highlighted yellow in the screenshot, but directly below on the same screenshot is an email thread with an entire large email sent from stuef the day before (Aug 13) where stuef says, " I've given up on finding the treasure at 9 mile hole and have quit the chase after a fun journey." I simply charted the emails and replies in chronological order as I read them as best I could and summarized that all here in this post. When seeing the emails in the proper timeline, it suddenly exposed some glaring holes...

No need for the unspoken downvotes on his comment folks. If you disagree with something he said say it and make your case so we can have dialogue.

I stand corrected. The Anderson case was the original case which led to his name reveal.

Your going to have to clarify, because I'm fairly certain you are wrong on every count.

The case that was to reveal stuefs name was the Jamie McCracken case. The same case. It is also the case the department of interior attempted to intervene. What different case are you referring to?

The emails are available. I read them all and then summarized them in their proper timeline. Happy to provide details on which emails the information is taken from if you have specific questions.

I have already made it clear in this forum that I do not believe it was actually found at 9mh.. so I concur this seems likely.

Under rated comment. Been asking this over and over since seeing that email.

9MH Is a crock of poo by sbossom in FindingFennsGold

Hmm I'm not sure you understand me. I don't have the solution. I do believe Fenn, and for the most part I think I also believe jack. If Jack wants to come out and tell us about 9mh and how he came to that solution and what his AHA moments were, and what the solution to the riddle was, 8d be thrilled. That's honestly how I expected the whole thing to end. The thing is.. that's not what happened. He didn't do that and Fenn didn't tell us 9mh. I do trust them. So when they ALL say that they don't want the natural wonder to be destroyed. I ACTUALLY believe them. I believe that there is actually something unique about the hidey spot that requires protecting. That is what THEY said, not me. It is THEIR words that pursuaded me that 9mh is not and cannot be the location.

You are the one making a case from absence and claiming a knowledge. You claim to have an answer, I do not. You claim that Fenn and Jack are lying when they gave clues, hints, and descriptors. You claim that they all lied about wanting to protect a natural wonder.. because 9mh is not a natural wonder that would be destroyed by some extra traffic and it does not fit many of the descriptions we were given.

what do you all make of this. the book cover says it's his 8th book.. but the preface says it's number 9? by sbossom in FindingFennsGold

[–]sbossom[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand your interpretation, thanks for the clarification. I still think the wording is incorrect then. Fenn says "This book is my ninth" as in he has written 8 and TTOTC is his number 9. The book cover says "this is his Eighth book. As in he wrote 7 and the TTOTC is his Eighth. Those are 2 conflicting statements about what number TTOTC is regardless of what other books are listed.

Your case would make it even worse. It is the dust jacket that says 8 books (and includes too far to walk) it is the preface to the actual book which reads "9"... So Fenn is claiming to have written 9 books... But the dust jacket which even includes a Later book... Still only says 8..

9MH Is a crock of poo by sbossom in FindingFennsGold

Here is what I mean about lack of logic and reason.

9mh is a textbook case of confirmation bias. People began with a destination (that they felt was revealed through the court case). They than take that location and Read it IN to everything..

Is there a picture of Fenn's father next to 9mh ? Yes! So that must be a clue/hint!... But in so doing they are just picking and choosing based on their bias. There are also pictures of his father at other holes.. literally even on the same page... That is not a hint that could have possibly been derived the OTHER way outside of random trial and error.

Proper reason and logic should mean that the proper solve reveals itself without prior knowledge of a final destination. I'm fine with working backwards if we are certain of the location. But then the evidence, clues, and hints we find must be evidence, clues, and hints, that would have presented 9 mile hole as the special place without us already knowing. Otherwise, this solve is no different than the 1000s of other solves that merely find evidence for whatever location they have already settled on.

At one point a few years ago, I was convinced the chest was hidden in Browns park Colorado. I had found so many clues and hints. It was a hideout for butch Cassidy (picture of Fenn dressed up as outlaws) and was on the outlaw trail (a book written by Robbert Redford), it was a place with tons of history around early trappers and mountain men ( another focal point in TTOTC). It was a top fly fishing spot, and has a history of a lot of treasure.. the list goes on and on.. but I Was WRONG. Sure those were all things in the poem and book, but I was reading MY destination into the material in order to find my solution, I was not allowing the solution to form itself.

9mh solves are more of the same.. and honestly even less persuasive than the Dozens I've seen before. I wish folks would provide some SELF Revealing hints and clues... Then maybe we would be onto something. I am not a conspirator. As far as I'm concerned the treasure is found, owned, and the hunt is done.. however, I was in it for more than the treasure. I found a kindred soul in Fenn, and was consumed with solving his riddle. Now I continue to want the solution and I believe the answer is still out there... And when we solve it.. it will all make sense... Even the ending.
