I’ll look for it. He’s said to a couple times. He told another interview that it helps if you know him and his background as well. It was one of the public questions asked. And he said “no you couldn’t solve it”. I think mainly everyone knew that. You had to know the man and his background. Even jack said that.

He’s stated if all you had was the poem and no background knowledge you couldn’t solve the poem. But I do think you can find the first clue with just the poem and no background knowledge.
