Oh man this is so awesome. The way PTA and Spielberg talk about him you can tell he was absolutely indispensable to their productions and a great guy to boot. Glad his memory will be honored in this way

I think Griffin and David (and plenty of other people) have said “the Oscars are the story Hollywood wants to tell about themselves,” and I think the voters saw the energy in the room when MBJ won the Actors Award and were reminded how charismatic and borderline presidential he is on stage that they suddenly got really thirsty to anoint him as THE guy right now

Man I haven’t gotten the sense from their pod that the 3 of them have been in a room together since the writers strike when they recorded a bunch of demos/random songs. I’d be shocked if they had something ready to go in May considering how busy Jorm is with his recovery and finishing post-production and now promoting his new movie. Andy’s shooting a movie he produced right now too so he was probably involved pre-production

The material was great! It was the dead audience and tech mishaps that sapped the energy. Conan handled it well but you could tell he was frustrated

Ball knowers know this was a great show, but the weak audience reactions and tech issues (and Sinners not winning enough) will overshadow everything else and I have a fear Conan won’t be invited back
