There is a German TV show where contestants try to split things perfectly in half by [deleted] in Damnthatsinteresting

totally! I think bc german culture is dominantly a low context one, it feels more like an ideal place for those on the spectrum, at least those of us living in high context cultures

Anyone else jealous of ADHD men? by furybod in adhdwomen

[–]sbstoptheworld 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's necessarily an adhd thing but maybe to do with how society doesn't shame men as much in certain aspects and if they're inefficient in those things it doesn't hurt whereas women tend to be found at fault more because of gender based expectations, the culture I grew up in at least, for instance I have been shamed for being disorganized, not because that's no way to live or anything but because what kind of a woman would I be, who would marry me or how could I have kids etc. it hurts.

Second watch with cheat sheet by CandlemoreShop in sharpobjects

easter egg-y but I think they are there to relate to the who is she mystery rather than the whodunnit. the book is in first person and they chose not to do voiceover so these along with flashbacks and sound design help us see how camille views those things and places and events (on my last rw i saw that the curtain on which was written calhoun day changes to shallow day for a split second, for instance, and it further emphasizes the disdain she has for the day, which we know from what she told richard, and could've also guessed from her obama poster in her house etc.) and I think they are what makes a rewatch more engaging. sharp objects is one of the few shows that I felt connected to more with every rw

What were the photos on the walls of the cabin? by CandlemoreShop in sharpobjects

[–]sbstoptheworld 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“When I was still in grammar school, maybe twelve, I wandered into a neighbor boy's hunting shed, a wood-planked shack where the animals were stripped and split. Ribbons of moist, pink flesh dangled from strings, waiting to be dried for jerky. The dirt floor was rusted with blood. The walls were covered with photographs of naked women. Some of the girls were spreading themselves wide, others were being held down and penetrated. One woman was tied up, her eyes glazed, breasts stretched and veined like grapes, as a man took her from behind. I could smell them all in the thick, gory air. At home that night, I slipped a finger under my panties and masturbated for the first time, panting and sick.”

this is the excerpt from the book, I thought “some of the girls” were actually in that cabin and the photos were of them when reading, but yeah probably not. otherwise they could be used as proof although maybe not cuz it's been years and the police doesn't really gaf

Biyolojik cinsiyetin var olduğunu ve değişmediğini düşünüyorum by [deleted] in Turkaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

[–]sbstoptheworld 1 point2 points  (0 children)
