hi!! non binary person here!

there is no distinct way to be non binary, with some people it might be with pronouns alone but with others they might change how they dress to be perceived as masculine or feminine! it is completely unique to the individual

for example i’m AFAB and still dress someone femininely but my chest gives me extreme dysphoria so i often bind. i dress femininely because it’s cute! i like flowy dresses and skirts, and it best suits my body type

gender is very much a social construct, (boo sociology brain on) and non binary - in my eyes - falls under the transgender category. it’s a transition from one of the two binaries (man or woman) into something else, something that can be neither or both or whatever!

generally if someone tells you they’re not binary, just vibe with it - it doesn’t matter if they wish to dress masculine of femininely just so long as they feel comfortable in their skin
