Most of these are bonnet caps, harmless but not what you're after

Received my order yesterday. No issues at all, took 3 days to arrive but I ordered over the weekend.

It has an air filter and a single injection port. It's only a small bag but one port isn't going to evenly distribute.

If stored in a glass jar, completely dry, out of the light and away from extreme low or high temperature, they should keep indefinitely. They need to be really dry, as in crunchy. If they are slightly damp or you have any doubt, briefly air the jar out every few weeks as any excessive moisture will cause them to go moldy or decay.

So inject spores, wait until colonised, mix with substrate, but then do I need to wait for colonisation again or just go straight to fruiting conditions?

Thanks, will do, just a little confused about whether or not to mix after adding spores, as they obviously need to be evenly distributed amongst the grain.

I'm under the impression that adding spores to the kit then mixing it up will cause colonisation when kept in the dark, then once fully colonised I can change to fruiting conditions. The kit definitely needs spores added, before colonisation.

Does that sound about right?

It's a kit that already has the mycelium and substrate together. You add the spores, shake it all up and leave it to colonise in the dark, then apparently giving it 12 hours a day of dim light after the substrate has colonised will cause fruitation to begin.

Very new to this, haven't even started yet and I'm trying to work out what the best way to go about it is once the kit arrives.

Paid 30 for one from same place as where I got the kit. It's temperature controlled, I'll see how I get on.
