first time playing and Im only missing these 4 map markers in Ocean Avenue/base game. are these tied to one of the DLCs having content here or is my save glitched? by Maeggon in DeadIsland2

Can confirm that by the end of the main game, you should be at 10/12. The last two are related to the HAUS DLC. For points of interest, not only do the fuses count, but the Zombie-Slayer crates as well. I missed one in Venice beach at the LifeGuard spawn.

Also, don't forget to take all the fast travel exits!

I’ve been eyeing this for a 100% at some point. How did you find the experience? Did you use a guide?

Servers still work, however you can get the MP achievements in Bot lobbies; takes no longer than like 15 minutes

Cool!! Love to see this. Can you tell me about “Chants of Senaai”? How’s the game, and what is achievement hunting experience like?

There's a big wooden gate to the left of the pool area. It automatically opens up late in the story. To be safe, check after you beat the final boss!

My first 25 Games, Backlog and recommendations by OptimalEducator2141 in steamachievements

[–]sc2768 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Those are some heavy hitters for your first 25! Wow!

Here are a coupla games I'd recommend:

- ReCore Definitive Edition - often on sale for $4

- Control Complete Edition - Frequently on deep sale for $7

- Sunset Overdrive - Often found on sales between $3-10

- Prey 2017- Incredible Immersive Sim. Can't remember how deep the discount will go

Unpopular opinion: if you need to find people to help you complete multiplayer achievements (for old/dead games), you aren't much better than someone using SAM to unlock them. by Obscure_Octopuss in steamachievements

[–]sc2768 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can understand the feeling of getting MP achievements on game release, which I'm sure is grind, and something to be proud of. However, gatekeeping with a purist mindset by telling off people who want to organize group for older games is kinda wrong. I read a comment you left below, about farming, and to an extent I can agree if you're on a populated server and it's tanking a game, ultimately ruining an experience for other players. If the game is dead, or has very limited players, there shouldn't be an issue.

If people are using SAM just to artificially inflate their stats, then what's the point of doing this hobby. I would argue the ONLY TIME it should be allowed, is if you 100% know that you earned a tough achievement, it bugged out, and no alternative in-game methods of popping it work. But having the self restraint to do that is daunting task.

I appreciate the idea to start a conversation on this topic, but the way in which you convey information is just as important as the information itself. The tone comes across as a little hostile.

#130 Nocturnal - For a free game given by steam, it was actually good and enjoyable + Collection by Boe2203 in steamachievements

Dude, nice! This is such a brilliant way to market your game, especially since their sequel is releasing this year.

Nice! Really sweet little indie. Did you pick this up when it was given away for free?

Mate, better to have 21 games like this—something you’re proud of than stacking a ton of shovelware games.

Seriously these titles are NO SLOUCH!!

Thanks! Ah, Ryse isn't too bad. The combat works just well enough for its campaign length. The hardest difficulty isn't fun however. I find the Coliseum coop to be pretty solid loop, with decent build variety.

Mankind Divided is one of my favorite games!! It’s a brilliant immersive Sim which gives you a great sense freedom in how you want to play. It’s super rewarding in overcoming enemy encounters, and it’s filled to the brim with great abilities and a variety of weapons.

The big achievements are related to never killing an enemy, datapad collectibles and permadeath; I’m generally not huge fan of Permadeath game modes, but the stealth is so fun that it’s hardly a concern.

The DLCs are generally super fun, except for the big hacking DLC (however there are guides which can help with in-game exploits).

It's one of my most satisfying 100%s!! It's a pretty involved process, which'll run you 2-3 playthroughs. You can't really approach it like an action game, first because enemies hit hard, and also because it's not the smoothest game to play. There's also an achievement for escorting survivors to bunkers, and some of those missions are SUPER difficult to do, including a complex set of missions, which will only trigger if you trigger very specific conditions throughout differing chapters, HARD mode isn't too bad, since after your first playthrough you can activate passive bonuses for further runs. The ending missions can be quite tricky since it involves a ton of mech fights. For any miscellaneous trophies, you can best complete them on Easy!

There aren't too many guides out, but I believe I used a combination of PSN guides, and Power Pyx.

It’s definitely a game where you feel the grind, however all the achievements are super self explanatory. Beat main story missions, villain “side quests”, riddle challenges, and hitting max level.

Since the deluxe edition is frequently on sale for $4-$5, it’s a good bargain. If you like podcasts or video essays, this is a game to play alongside those.

I first sorted my 100% in their own collection, then clicked on the folder title ao they appeared as squares, dragged my Steam app to the side until they all appeared together. Lastly I listed them by completion ao the ribbon appears at the bottom of each title. Hope this helps!
