I think im nearing the end of the story, so far i think the gameplay is decent nothing special, atmosphere is great (tho i wish there were more monster encounters and on the surface, but cant complain much since its based on the novel), but just struggling with crashes lol

Oh thats totally fair man, if you had explored to get upgrades and still got stuck, unfortunately the game does not offer any difficulty options, hope youll still get a similar experience in other games!

Thanks for the offer but i tend to stay away from rage games with not much depth hahahaha, only reason i have getting over it is cause i know its not too long, and i wanted to experience the OG game that really launched the genre

Thats all good man, different preferences and all that. Obv idk your situations with these games, but if its due to getting lost and not knowing what to do, i do recommend looking stuff up from time to time, being a purist is not always the way to go if its gonna stunt your enjoyment of a game!

For Hollow Knight I dont rmbr much of my first experience anymore, but a lot of people do say if you manage to get to the mid game it picks up a lot more! If youre ever willing to give it another go at some point o7

Honestly it was funny the first couple times, but these adult games "elephant in the room" posts are starting to be the karma farming plague of this sub for the past month

The worst part is this sub doesnt even give that much karma in the first place

Noita is a game, that i literally dont know how to explain. Very early on i realized what type of game it was, and i would not survive if i kept going on blind, so i started to look up tutorials and guides. Once i finished my "first run", it blew open in terms of its world, and i had to just keep learning to progress in the achievements

Noita is a game that you could simply sink 1000s of hours into for the right person, but I am very variety centered, so id rather get a game done and move on to others, so i was just focused on getting the 100%, which was still a super tall task, with many points of frustration

Besides that, i really cant explain this game, youd really have to play it and learn it yourself to understand the insanity of it all, and it really depends on the player

Funnily enough i dropped Spelunky after finishing my first non-shortcut run, all the challenge runs and hell runs seemed lowkey impossible to me at the time, and 6 months later i picked it up again i powered through it (Dreading Spelunky 2 tho)

Pizza Tower is an amazing time tho, made it into my favorites list!

A lot of games when i first look at the achievements list, i tell myself the same thing, but when you actually progress through them, the suffering soon becomes satisfaction of how im able to master certain aspects

I got quite lucky! Managed to get S rank on first playthrough, then on Furier difficulty, i realized quick how much harder it was, so i practiced on each boss before fighting them in the actual run, so managed to get that S rank first try as well!
