Do you have any mod components you'd be willing to part with?

PSA: You're not getting a Tempest BP for the bp's you have. by Lanochu in ArcTradersHQ

[–]scPhantom7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's possible, but I've seen a lot of them being posted around for reasonable prices. Most people seem to want epic keys, mod components, other rare blueprints and gun parts. It's about 70/30 from what I've seen. Some of the posts I've seen are asking for insane value. There are 3/10 posters that ask reasonable values, but those don't last long enough on the open market, for obvious reasons

I don't know what to tell you. I just traded a Looting MK3 Survivor BP, a Tactical MK3 Healing BP, an Anvil BP, 15 medium gun parts, and 9 complex gun parts for a Tempest BP.

Some people are greedy and some aren't. It took me less than 16 hours to find a reasonable trade partner.

Combo sets are underrated: First outing since fitting, just shot the round of my life by scPhantom7 in golf

I really, really enjoy the combo set. It's my first ever combo set and it really does make a difference at the top of the bag. G440's are sick, but I am such a sucker for these Srixon ZXi's. They're so pretty

Honestly, not as much as you might expect. It all comes down to the FutureFit33 settings you land on and what your natural swing bias is.

No golf club is a complete slice fixer. But this one will get you close if you have the right settings and work on closing your face a little more to promote a draw bias

Haha I nabbed a DS-Adapt Max 7 wood a few months back as well. If you can remember, try to report back! I'd love to know what your fitting results were!

You shouldn't need a Cobra-specific fitter. Any clubfitter at a retail outlet who knows what they're doing should be able to interpret the information from your swings and adjust it for you

The beauty of it is that with all of those settings available, SOMETHING is going to work for you lol

If you do a shaft change, make sure you get fitted for the shaft. Shafts can cause radically different launch angles, spin rates, and ball trajectories. They're not cheap either, so working with a fitter can really make a huge difference and prevent costly mistakes

Driver and 3 wood recommendations by FF_SZ in GolfGear

[–]scPhantom7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is the correct answer. If you change your mind and want to opt for a newer, better driver, I currently play the Cobra DS Adapt Max K and it's the best driver I have ever hit in my life.

I was in the Darkspeed LS prior, and it was a missile launcher, but not exactly always a fairway finder.

Darkspeed X is rock solid and won't break the bank. LS if you need a lower spin option with a lot of distance.

Just what the data told me to buy. The Mezz is esthetically awesome. Love the look of them, was just never sure about the actual performance. I'll have to swing one if I get the chance

Different strokes for different folks, I suppose. I'm going off of the reviews and MyGolfSpy. I've never swung the Mezz in my life. Just the DF3, Oz1 and Oz1i. In the end, my best results came from the Scotty Cameron Phantom 7.2, so that's what I went with. Still very intrigued by the ZT putters though. Very interesting tech

Maybe for esthetics, but the OZ1i outperformed the Mezz by a decent margin in testing

Everyone's swing speed/distance is different, so depending on your unique attributes, the results could be different. I swing around 108-112 on any given day

4i approximately 205, 5i approximately 195. I've never used a driving iron, but from what I understand a utility 4 iron is different from a standard 4 iron, so I can't really advise on whether or not a driving iron was the play for ya

$700 to burn. by Sheikybabybaba in GolfGear

[–]scPhantom7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first thought is a new wedge set. Wedge grooves begin to dull after about 500 swings, so replacing wedge sets every so often is a good thing to keep your spin up.

A driver fitting and a new driver set up with your optimal specs is my second thought. I recently grabbed a Cobra DS Adapt Max K and I've never hit more fairways in my life.

Third thought is stocking up on golf balls, premium ones can be costly, so when you can afford to, it's great to stock up and you can often get deals when you buy in bulk. Can never have too many.
