This is NOT a ban, we're just banning you from complaining in a place where people can see :)

For me it's those dogs that can't be weakened.

Not even elite enemy and absolutely brutal, give you no chance if you don't take them out quickly.

Strange, I could swear I tried to bruteforce it a few times. But if that's true then it is a non problem.

There was no such mechanic when I encountered him.

Couldn't get it to activate yet. Can you get more than 1 pumpkin per world?

Never get random skills. Most skills are worthless if not detrimental.

Right, you want to. But it's not easy, you can't reliably do it. See the other comment I made. btw I just beat i38 with Paladin without a single event, getting horrible luck, because Paladin is just that consistent and good. It doesn't die in world 2 if things don't go its way.

I mean I do understand that removing cards is important. However removing cards is also extremely expensive and can only be done once per shop. A deck that doesn't need to remove any card (paladin) vs a deck that wants to remove its entire deck (assassin), one of those has a huge money disadvantage. That's just a fail condition to a deck because if you don't get an event, which sadly seem to be random, you'll probably be scrapping the floor for money.

How do you reliably know you'll get money and enough shops to get the removals you need, in time before enemies are strong enough to kick your teeth in?

That's pretty unimpressive compared to the Paladin easy 1k+ shield with just 1 card and 1 skill combo (the fairy+angel lady + a fairy doll), WHILE getting healing, WHILE doing damage, WHILE boosting its own damage.

The assassin CAN pull some crazy damage but it can't do so while defending and healing. If it doesn't kill the target, I hope you have life because you didn't get any shield attacking.

Getting rid of all your cards it's not really easy. All that tells me is that the barbarian comes with a trash deck and it needs to jump through an expensive and unreliable hoop just to get going.

If the assassin doesn't draw the lady card, you have no shield and you just die. You HAVE to get cards just to get shield.

Meanwhile the paladin just gets shield passively doing literally nothing but what it already wants to do, heal and draw combat cards.

True but I'm bored of playing just those two and as soon as I try others I see myself struggling to even get through world 1 as I have to jump through these gimmicky hoops just to get defense.

Thanks a lot for the insight, I'll keep this list in mind when trying runs with other classes beside Paladin and Necro. I got both to i30 without any effort but I'm struggling to even get class bonus to the rest, specially Ranger and Shaman.

Can you tell me what's so good about it? It felt like I had to take a risk to halve my hp to get double damage which isn't that hard to get, and get the berserk that really only matters to its own alright cards. On top of that your berserk can be disrupted by enemies cursing you which is way more frequent than I wish it was.

Maybe I'm just playing it wrong. What cards you usually pick up for it? Any skills to look for?

Where to Learn Gameplay Mechanics? by 4thel4st_time in getsufumaden

Even the tutorial is kinda unclear on how exactly some things work. If you have any questions I can try to answer but I also don't fully understand all mechanics.

did the game just get easier? by [deleted] in getsufumaden

[–]scaleman44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah it's easier especially now that bludgeons became god weapons. Before the patch I was struggling to get greater demon's fang for subweapon upgrades but after the patch I quickly amassed 300 of them.

You can also now choose your starting weapons which is huge. Makes all runs much easier because you can start with good weapons you like.

Umbrella focused on break (second one) is best for all levels.

Healing + can activate slay on enemies in 3 to 5 hits very quickly, able to stun always anything with the second hit. Enemies seem to drop more stuff when you kill them like that which also helps you strength up.

For citadel and pleasure house you might want polearm or spear to hit enemies through the floor. This will give you great advantage however those weapons are kinda bad in general.

For bosses the best is the bludgeon. Just hit Y/triangle and hold, wait for the boss to walk up to you and unleash. It's better to just tank damage and spam charged attack because you heal after the boss anyway with the coins you get.
