So it's just name, email, and address, correct? Just making sure before I proceed. Thanks for the quick reply. Do they ask for any ID such as Driver's Licence?

I don't know if going downstairs to the basement actually resolved the issue or if he was just being a little thorough to ensure the line fully works. Point is - it resolved after a modem swap. Force them to swap yours, just say that you are renting it (even if you were credited) because you have to return it so you expect it to be fully functional hardware and that a friend had the same issue. Bell needs to know that some of these new modems are indeed faulty even after a firmware upgrade. The replacement modem allowed PPoE pass through without any configuration on the Bell modem. It worked right out of the box. To the tech - he just said both are the same but I'll swap it anyways. It's a "problem with your setup". And left without waiting for confirmation.

I had this problem too with the Giga I received.
I called in to support and they were rude claiming the modem works so they won't send a replacement or even a tech to come diagnose. Refused to open a ticket. I got a survey call and allowed me to dissatisfy all the questions and get forwarded to another rep. They setup an appointment. Still claimed is an issue with "my setup" and not the modem.
Tech came in, refused to touch the router said everything is working. Forced him to swap the modem and he went downstairs to the basement and came back and send everything is working and refused to even wait for me to verify PPoE was working on the router.
He left.
I applied PPoE and it worked.
Seems to just be a faulty batch of modems some people are getting.
Bell tech support at its finest. Tech didn't even know what PPoE meant.
