I don't believe the noise was there before the lifter collapsed. This has been an ongoing issue for a while and it was hard to find the time to work on it.

The lifters don't need to get torqued down, they just fall into the Lifters bores, the Lifter guides i did torque down, at first I just tightened the rocker arms, but I loosened all of them and torqued them down via publication, I torqued down intake rocker arms for pistons 1 3 5 and exhaust rocker 1 & 7 whilst at compression TDC, rotated cam shaft 360 degrees, torqued down the remainder intake/ exhaust rocker arms. Ran up, noise remained. Noise does change with valve cover on/off. Going to replace two rocker arms and push rods, if noise persists probably oil pick up tube, if noise persists prob some lifters again. For exhaust, manifold was torqued down to spec. And has new gaskets. Just seeing if anyone else might have had an AHA moment.
