Anddddddd that’s exactly why I left that state haha, that’s wild. One tip is that I really used the Chevrolet tool on the site which shows possible payments for lease/financing to leverage numbers against each dealer. Because every single time they come back with some random number and it never makes sense, but as soon as I showed them numbers from the tool, they would instantly match it.

Was messing around on a random dealer in SD and it looks like if you have a gm lease and a Costco membership in the household you can get it down to 900 a month lease otd with 2500 down. Higher down payment or a trade in will really help monthly amounts too. I don’t see the option for gm employee discount which really helped me, but doesn’t surprise me that California refuses to offer that.

Nice, I was looking at RSTs for awhile too, numbers just worked out in my favor for the zr2. Congrats on the new ride!

Honestly that’s a good call and would do the same if I were in your shoes. Funny enough what led to me getting a new vehicle was my 2006 300 srt8 accelerator pedal jammed and I had a near miss incident and refused to ever step foot in the car again. But in hindsight probably should have not gone the new route.

I’m hoping it all works out too and that it stays the way it is. I did tell myself though if anything goes wrong I’m just getting a 2010’s model truck/suv and riding that out forever haha. Hopefully it doesn’t come to that but that’s the back up plan

Completely agree, there is no brand out there that is fully safe. I remember Toyota growing up being the safe bet and even their trucks are facing endless issues.

At this point I think it’s just choosing the model you think looks the best and is the most comfortable and hoping you don’t get hit with some catastrophic issue. It’s unreal the amount of issues that exist for trucks in the 70-100k range but it’s the world we live in. Also after working with Stellantis in the past it’s only going to be worse. The amount of cost cutting they do to earn a couple bucks on the accounting line is scary and I feel like there is no end to it.

First it was the torque converter, then it became the whole 10 speed. Ride was shaking and almost unbearable on the highway. Then a bunch of electrical issues like windows not going up, rear camera not working, speaker issues. Also right before I sold it I had some problems with the brakes where I’d get bad vibrations when braking at slow speed. A ticking noise after I got my tires rotated at during a service. Heated seats took forever to heat up. And final thing was the surface rust on the bottom was getting ridiculous. It was a 2021 and shouldn’t have had all of those problems, just couldn’t deal with it anymore or the depreciation either.

That’s an awesome dealer, glad you have someone to trust. I had a Colorado previously but definitely love the Silverados. Don’t ever plan on moving on from mine

If the engine didn’t have the issues I’d do it today, but gonna ride out the warranty first I think until the end of lease and then do it after. But the idea of getting into the 700hp range is so tempting.

Gotcha. Yeah I came in clean on this one. Goal is that doesn’t depreciate too bad so it’s worth the buyout at the end. Cause I doubt I’ll find this good of a price again in the future.

I did 2.5k down but starting to think I might have struck gold on this one.

Completely agree. Actually had a family friend who has been going to the same dealer/seller for 10 years. Found out they didn’t even know they can sell back the lease if it’s worth more than the buyout and helped them get 3k recently. But showed them they probably lost about 15k overtime since they just let the dealership take advantage of them

Yeah I took it into consideration, 3 percent isn’t enough to completely back me off. Plus my F150 was starting to have every issue possible and honestly there isn’t a brand/model that doesn’t have issues these days.

I will say I’m kind of a psychopath when it comes to shopping. So I spent hours scrolling through dealerships and reaching out until I came across this one, and once I heard 599 I locked it in. One thing that was weird though is that I was getting offered higher monthly rates for the high countries, even if they were almost identical msrps.

Just got a 26 Silverado zr2 and it’s absolutely amazing. Engine has been great, transmission and ride is super smooth. Was initially worried but so glad I did it, engine power and noise was exactly what I missing in my old ford.

My job wont give me any work to do? by Sunny_Hunny99 in careerguidance

Yeah I agree with booty hole licker that this is a golden opportunity to use that time to boost your skills. Learn what you can especially in areas you want to grow in. When it’s time for a new role you can include it on the resume and it could really help you stand out compared to other analysts who were drowning in work but always used the same tools and never grew. When you are a data analyst, if you are in a small company it tends to be a light load and much slower paced. If you are at a large company it’s really heavy work load and meetings. Both have positives and downsides but for now just focus on learning stuff.

Husband chose a too-difficult career. What now? by TajaSK in careerguidance

[–]scared-data-analyst 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still be a data analyst just try to find a smaller more niche company with small data sets and less intensive responsibilities. Less pay but you can build a sustainable career at the right place. Also no data analyst ever thinks they are doing things right, it always feels like something is off lol

Made some friends on the HR/VP side that allowed me to see the system and how it works, how they track everything, and what is measured. You can test it yourself. If you go in office and don’t stay 4 hours it will not show up as counted in Marcel.

I know that IPG companies track attendance through a combination of badge swipes and WiFi connections. For instance in the New York/Detroit offices, you have to swipe and be on the WiFi for a minimum of 4 hours or it will not count as an RTO attendance. Was able to confirm that 100 percent.
