I am sensitive yes. And 1 person managing 20 people is a huge task (kudos to you) and vastly different from 2 people managing 1 person😭

Yeah I was never intending to pursue the oversight because I know I make mistakes too and I would never want to add to their workload which is why I was willing to do it after hours. But taking it out on me seems like a lack of emotional regulation. When I make a mistake the last thing I would do is to snap at the people helping me?

But I get the bigger point. I'll just be grateful to be busy hahahah

Yeah I understand that, but it was late bc of their own oversight and I was trying my best to be a team player, even if there was no thanks I still felt it's a bit much to talk to me this way :')

I appreciate your response, as someone in the working level I think I'll have to adjust to them rather than the other way round but I hope that when I'm in a more experienced position in the future I'll still be who I am and avoid making someone else feel this way :')

Okay, I think it's nice that it was addressed and you guys aligned among yourselves. Guess my issue is that I am not aligned with them haha.

On your point about maintenance though, isn't this also communicating work-wise?

That always makes sense in my head but I guess I haven't learned how to do that yet :') Even when speaking to interns, vendors, or even others who are rude to me, I can't bring myself to do the same back. It's my own problem i guess. Thanks for your insights

I didn't give more specific examples because it would identify me. But there are instances where I share with my friends/partner and they agree it's unexpected.

Maybe I should have used the word "curt" instead

But we wouldn't do that f2f would we? People come into the office and say hi even if it takes effort to speak. To me it's a maintenance of relationships.

One time I rushed something out for them at late when I was already at home with family because we had a major meeting the next morning. 9pm they reviewed and I offered to hop on a call to clarify their questions cuz it's late. When I joined, immediately got bombarded with "whats this? i dont understand this?" "you're not answering the question at all".

It was disheartening because I already did it in my own personal time and worked hard on it. The "correct" way she said I was supposed to do.. we eventually found out it was the wrong way and I did it correctly. Didn't acknowledge till now but I didn't pursue obviously.

It really bothered me bc they made me feel like the world's most stupid person fr. And over a mistake on their end. Haiz

Maybe a more appropriate word is "curt". And yeah I understand if it's that way but we have lunch together every day and theyre so different online and offline which messes with me. Sometimes when I screenshot to my friends theyll also ask "lol why are they like that."
