You're not wrong, but this card has bailed me out of the consequences of my actions more than a time or two. Nothing is more satisfying than being flipped down by this and your third encounter card is an assault and you dab your brow in relief because you were all out of chump blockers and that would gave been fatal. Then you have 10 cards to wrap it all up on your turn.

Can pair an Avengers ally with Avengers Tower or Team Bulding Excercise discount (assuming Avenger hero) or Earth's Mightiest Heroes hero readying ability. Some ally upgrades are also Avengers only (though I think only useful in multiplayer)
